Though the location is pretty far out of town (would definitely recommend you have a vehicle or scooter to sight see and get around), it was so much more than I expected. Modern, clean and extremely friendly hosts. I didn't have a vehicle but found so much joy in exploring the local area to get a true authentic peek into life in Northern Thailand. And even though the host, Weerapong, was very ill - he drove us to a local market and picked up a delicious Northern Thai feast for us to share while he explained many Thai traditions. Evening meals are not provided and places close around 5pm but there is a great kitchen there if you stock up on groceries to prepare your own. Go explore the rice fields, local villages, and rural roads - it's well worth it!
