After reading this, feel free to check out the photos for a better idea of the feel of our home!:
Keyless entry with a unique code for your group.
2-car garage for your use, with additional parking in the driveway. A charcoal grill for guest use.
A small backyard with 4 Adirondack chairs and a fire pit (seasonal)
Adult groups: the house comfortably sleeps 4 couples (8 adults)- see list of beds for clarification. There are 4 bedrooms. If you have kids, this house sleeps 9-10 guests comfortably. If you have a mix of adults, kids, and an infant, this house sleeps 10 guests comfortably.
1st floor: long L-shaped hallway with plenty of storage and tiled floors for removing and storing your hiking, biking, and snow gear. A couple pairs of snowshoes for the group to use, and a boot drier. Off this hall, the master bedroom: loveseat, king size bed, private bathroom with stand-up shower.
Up stairway from hall to 2nd floor: a secondary living room with flat screen TV and cable box, plenty of seating, cozy carpet. Down the 2nd floor hallway: a laundry room with washer and dryer, a bedroom with two twin beds, another bedroom with a bunk bed (bottom mattress a full, top mattress a twin), and in between the two bedrooms, a shared bathroom with shower and tub.
Up the stairs from 2nd floor living room, to the 3rd floor: at top of stairwell on 3rd floor, to your left a queen bedroom with private bathroom (shower and tub), directly ahead the kitchen and dining area, to the right, the main living room with gas fireplace, flat screen TV, and cable box. The 3rd floor is an open floor concept. To the left of the living room are some sliding glass doors that lead to a sunroom with seating.
From the 2nd and 3rd floor living rooms, you can watch skiers fly down the slopes and watch the chair lift pass. Skiers/snowboarders in the group can walk across the street and turn right to jump on the chairlift. Because you have to cross the small street to jump on the lift, I can't officially call this a ski-in ski-out house, but it is about as close as you can get :)
The entire house is yours for the duration of your stay, including the two-car garage.
The fireplace on the top floor, in the main living room near the kitchen, is a gas fireplace and is functional/ready to use for guests.
The fireplace on the second floor in the living room is in the process of being converted from gas to wood and we request guests do not use this.
Please bring wood if you'd like to have a bonfire in the backyard firepit; please heed any dry weather advisories and avoid bonfires on these days, and please remember to put your fire dead out before leaving it.
If you use the charcoal grill, please wheel it from under any roof before lighting, and do not return it under any roof until charcoals are out.
Access to the house is by a keypad. The code is changed between guests, and I send it 5-7 days before you arrive. My default is to let people check in privately with their unique code. But, if you prefer, you can schedule to be checked in by me in person after 8am.
We are always available by phone/text/email to help with questions about tourism/area sites and attractions, or to help with supplies. We have caretakers available to help with plumbing/heating emergencies, as well as snow removal during winter months :)
The kitchen is on the 3rd floor. Please keep this in mind for those who have trouble with stairs.

***PLEASE TEXT OR SEND AN AIRBNB MESSAGE WHEN YOU CHECK IN AND WHEN YOU CHECK OUT*** We love being able to offer the privacy that goes with a keypad entry, but this requires good communication from our guests so we can be confident in the safety and care of our homes. This also allows us to coordinate our cleaning service. A quick and short message will do just fine- we know you want to settle in and enjoy!
We ask that all guests take perishable (i.e. kitchen) garbage to the bins in the garage on checkout. Please also take/throw away any perishable groceries you brought with you when you leave, and make sure dishes are done or being done in the dishwasher on leaving.
Lock all doors and turn off any space/electric heaters, gas fireplaces, etc., on checkout.
Finally, please do not request to bring your pet. Our spaces are listed as pet-free because pet hair is very difficult to remove. So, regardless of how well-trained, all pets present this problem and are not allowed. Thank you for your consideration!
As a traveler: I'm an avid traveler who's lived all over, and I love a local experience! I host full-time in Western PA so I show my rentals lots of love and leave them very clean
As a host: We have two fantastic vacation homes that we use less as we travel more, and what better way to hold onto these houses than to share them with other people/families looking for new adventures! Both houses were designed with kids in mind, but are also perfect for romantic getaways and tour groups.
As seasoned travelers who've endured a bad stay or two, we understand that when you book your travel lodging, you're trusting your host to offer you a beautiful, comfortable, and hospitable space to share with your loved ones.
With this in mind, we're offering flexible check-in policies, cleanliness, amenities, attention to detail, and special accommodations. We live within 45 minutes of our listed properties and are just a text/email/phone call away.
Thank you so much for considering booking one of our homes. We hope you'll love them as much as we do!
