My first night in Vegas was a nightmare! There was a discrepancy with my hotel that ended in me cancelling my hotel reservation. Across the country from where I live with no place to go, I look up an airbnb to just stay at for the night so I can figure things out the next day. This listing was up, affordable, great amenities, etc. I knew it was last minute but it went thru, was confirmed so I thought great, my night was saved.....wrong!
When I got there, we knocked on the door and no one answered. My fiancé and I were confused. Neighbors said rand and sede were definitely home. Also, I did see someone look out the window and flash a light, but no door answer. We were outside for like 10 mins before I finally called airbnb. Then I get another call from airbnb and they said that the hosts CANCELLED MY RESERVATION AND COULDNT ACCOMMODATE ME!!! So they had their listing up as available, I thought it was a blessing since I had nowhere to go and they even saw us out their window. They didn't even have the common decency to at least answer the door themselves and apologize to us for the inconvenience, they just watched cowardly from the comfort of their own home while my fiancé and I are outside at 1:30am (it's not super warm either), in a city we've never been before, for almost an hour and a half until we finally found something that did work out and we left. Even the neighbors gave us water while we waited. The hotel discrepancy was bad but this was the absolute worse. Completely rude and inconsiderate. Terrible!
