My studio apartment is located on Váci street, the most popular pedestrian street in Budapest. It has been renovated with outmost care for design and the spaces have been purposely formulated to meet the requirements of short term travellers discovering the city.
The flat is 17 sqm large, split on a ground floor level (12 sqm) and an open mezzanine (5 sqm) overlooking the living room. The mezzanine offers a double bed of 150 cm width.
The flat is located on the ground floor of a well-maintained 5-storey building. Its size and the allocation of spaces make it comfortable for up to 2 guests. The flat itself is not huge, but the fact that the double bed is located upstairs on the mezzanine, makes the spaces feel spacious.
My aim was to make the flat unique and cosy at the same time. The wrought iron railing on the mezzanine and the spiral staircase was done by a blacksmith whose forearm muscles were sore for weeks while working on this project. The paintings are one-only copy prints of contemporary Hungarian artists, while the Batman drawings were done by me in my Batman-haze during my early twenties. The hand-made tiffany window also commemorates this period.
As a basic rule, I will be greeting you in person upon arrival and keep you updated with regards to logistics related to your stay.
If needed - and if I am available at the time of the landing of your flight - I can pick you up at the airport by my own car for a fee similar you would be paying for a taxi. Coming into the city with me gives us the chance to get to know each other a bit and make the whole airbnb experience bit more personal. On top of that, I am glad to share my insights with you related to sights to see, baths to go to, restaurants to eat, night life etc.
Hello Dear Visitor,
Thank you for passing by.
Was born and raised in Southern Hungary in one of the best red wine regions of Hungary. Unfortunately I could not profit much from this fact as kids usually do not appreciate red wine and I moved to Budapest before the usual age when young guys discover the depths and deep joy coming from social drinking.
It took me long to realise that one of the few talents I have is hospitality. I was working in my Mom's restaurant since the age of 15 and I loved every minute of it. So after a few detours including an almost-never finished law school and jobs where I did not fit, here I am to offer you accommodations that I hope you will remember as one of your best airbnb experiences.
Hope to see you soon,
