The house is a few blocks to Michigan Avenue, where many of Detroit's best restaurants and pubs are located. It's 1 mile from downtown. It is a clean working farmhouse, but there are dogs, ducks running around, farm equipment everywhere, volunteers, workers, other farmers coming and going. This victorian-style house is a shared homestead, and there are two farmhands living on the first floor. Take a walk through the farm out back, but stay on the path! No discrimination of any kind.
This bedroom is great for 2 to 4 people, since there is a king sized bed in a loft above the bedroom.
Brother Nature farmhouse is located on a real working urban farm but it is also located just 1 mile outside of downtown.
The common areas accessible to all guests are the kitchen, laundry, living, dining room, and bath (naturally). Seasonal produce from our farm will be provided should you want to cook something up.
We are almost always at home or working in the rows, we live next door, so if you need something you can text, call, or catch us in passing.
1.While you are a guest in this house please respect it as if it were your own. We expect the house to be left in as good a condition when you leave as it was when you got here; you will be charged for any damaged or missing property and please clean up after yourselves and keep your belongings in your room.
2.We are not responsible for any of your damaged or missing property; please lock your room door and the house door when you leave as well as keep curtains down (most theft is based on opportunity in other words ‘if they see it, they are taking it’). Do not tell folks exactly where you are staying and please don’t invite people you’ve just met back to the house to hang out (again with the opportunists).
3.We run a clean establishment (we live right next door) and cannot allow weed smoking, excessive drinking, or loud music/talking after 10:30pm.
4.Each guest reservation allows for 5 visitors to visit but if said visitors stay overnight you will be charged additional fees and please no sleeping on the couch.
Please notify us of your arrival in advance. Please enjoy your stay here, we will do our best to make it safe and farm fresh fun.
- We are often out working in the rows during the day, so please be sure to text Greg and give him advance notice of your arrival -- so that we can make sure someone is at the house to let you in.
- DO NOT take or use toiletries that are not yours on the bathroom shelves. They belong to the two tenants who live here, Cherise and Zubeyda. Bring your own soap and toiletries as it will not be provided at the Airbnb.
- DO NOT consume food/drinks that are not yours. Again this food belongs to the tenants. You are welcome to buy and store groceries of your own in the kitchen but do not eat anything that you did not purchase.
