This self-contained bungalow is ideal for an overnight stay or longer. Very comfortable and beautifully designed, it is situated in a very quiet cul-de-sac, but near to public transport and close to the Cambridge colleges. There is a beautiful 20 minute walk along the river and across the parks to the art and culture, restaurants and theatres in the historic city centre.
Our 1960s bungalow was completely refurbished recently and has a new galley kitchen and shower room, with a super-king sized bed in the main bedroom. The spaces have been knocked through to make a delightful open-plan living and dining area which have added character with their wood-panelled walls. We have recently added two extra bedrooms, with single bed in one, and a cot in the other if you should need one. The bungalow is ideal for a business overnight stay, a couple or a small family.
You can have the entire bungalow to yourselves, with your own front door. I will give you the key safe number by text before you arrive.
There is a key safe for you to let yourselves in and I will be contactable throughout your stay. I will text or email with the key safe code before you arrive.
There is a Coop supermarket round the corner, (turn left out of Chantry Close, then right and past the bus stop), or a smaller corner shop (turn left out of Chantry Close, then left, the shop is opposite the wonderful Stir Cafe) but I will leave a basic continental breakfast with coffee, tea and milk for your first breakfast.
Please note that there is no TV, but there is WiFi access so you can watch BBC iplayer on your own device,
- Please be considerate of our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum, especially at night.
- Indoor slippers please
I am an emerging artist, having recently gained an MA in Printmaking at Anglia Ruskin University. I am 65, which sounds ridiculous! I love Writing, photography, gardening, my granddaughter, films, art galleries and walking. I devour historical novels like Wolf Hall and Bring Up The Bodies, and love similar BBC series. I am vegetarian and gluten free, so a bit of an irritating dinner guest. For 20yrs I have worked as a writer and stylist for interiors magazines like Homes & Gardens etc. and have published over 10 books on interiors with Cico Books. (See Life motto? Never take it personally.
