The bedroom has a comfortable double bed,and an ensuite shower room. There is a south facing patio with table and chairs for outdoor eating.
We call the little house Daisys after the original owner, Marguerite, who had lived there all her life. After she died many years ago we bought and completely renovated the house to make it into this little secluded gite.
I am available to help guests and I like them to know that I am more than happy to help with any requests or concerns they may have. I like people to feel at home.
Within walking distance of about 6 km. is the tiny medieval village of Chalencon, and it is well worth the extra walk down to the river to cross the beautiful Pont Diable. Nearest small town is Craponne-sur-Arzon approx. 15 km away, where there are two well stocked supermarkets some restaurants and bars, Each year, at the end of July, it hosts a popular Country and Western Festival. The attractive city of Le Puy en Velay is under an hours drive away. And within a half an hours drive there is La Chaise Dieu with its imposing Abbey, in which a classic music festival is held every summer.
We are retired, and have lived in France for 21 years and love it. I love walking, riding my horse in this beautiful region, gardening, and meeting people. We have 3 sons, and they live in England, Australia and New Zealand. If I have to have a life motto it would be - Make the most of everyday and be happy.
