This is truly a warm, rustic retreat close to amenities both urban and wild. You will find a comfortable bed, seating, the ability to make your own meals, cooking utensils, fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, books, playing cards, and wifi. You will have access to the right hand side of the two-car carport (as you approach the guest house).
Covered parking for one car, should you have an additional vehicle please park in the cul-de-sac without blocking the mailbox. There are lockable storage cupboards available for gear and for those traveling with horses and a horse trailer, horse boarding and trailer parking is available next door for additional fees.
I am available should you need anything or have questions. The log cabin is occupied by tenants, however I live behind the cabin and am most responsive via text message- you will find my number in the unit, please do text or call (even late) should there be any disturbances or questions :)
The carport is shared by the inhabitants of the log cabin, please make certain you are not blocking the driveway, and take care to avoid the trees and rocks while backing out. Should the temperatures drop to below 20F you will need to leave a slow drip in the kitchen or bathroom sink to keep the pipes from freezing. The adjacent property can accommodate horses. There are cats living in the log cabin next door to the Guest house who may greet you upon arrival. The inhabitants of the log cabin are helpful and should they be around can help you contact me should I not be immediately available by cell-phone
The 'Guest House/Librarian's Retreat' is adjacent to a log cabin which is inhabited by young, working people. Your courtesy and consideration of noise, activity and in keeping the driveway clear and accessible is necessary to keeping this unit available to travelers. Likewise should the tenants prove a disturbance to you my guests, please do not hesitate to call or text me regardless of the hour. The driveway is a bit curved with trees on both sides as well as rocks, so the utmost care and rear view mirror use is required when backing out of the driveway. The right hand side of the carport is reserved for you, our Airbnb guest :)
This is an entirely non-smoking property being it is comprised of wood. The propane powered 'wood stove' is attached to a thermostat mounted to the right hand wall, should you be standing in the unit facing the bed. Please turn it down to at least 60• before leaving the unit and please make sure the heater in the bathroom is turned off as well :) Should the wintertime temperatures dip to 20• F or below it will be necessary to keep a very slow drip in either the bathroom or kitchen sink, so that the pipes don't freeze. Garbage and laundry receptacles provided. Unit is on a septic system so natural waste and toilet paper only in the toilet, thank you.
