My place is close to Oxford, Windsor, High Wycombe and Heathrow, and actually in the Chiltern Hills. 2 miles to stations on line into Baker Street, London. You’ll love my place because of the warmth of your welcome, your sizeable room, with comfy bed and bay window. Tea and coffee on tap.
Our home is simple but filled with good energy. My husband is often to be found in the green house tending to the scented geraniums. It's worth a visit just for the lovely smell inside. The red kites sometimes use the back 100 metres of grass as a swooping ground, if there is a tasty morsel there. Finding us in the dark, can be a problem, but I am thinking a Halloween lantern on nights of arrival will make the house very visible!
Guests are welcome to make themselves tea or coffee whenever they wish, should we not be home to do the honours. Our living room and the lounge are open to you if you want to have a chat, or are desperate not to miss your favourite programme on TV. Breakfast cooked or uncooked is available - you can eat in the dining room or your own room if you prefer. We have a galley kitchen, but feel free to make yourself a coffee if we are out.
Glen is always open to passing on whatever he can about the area and how to get there. We are quite new ourselves, but have certainly enjoyed being here in the Chilterns - lovely to drive through and fabulous to walk on. You can be as private as you desire. Should you want a cuppa in your room just ask if we are in or go and make it yourself if we are out.
We would ask that you limit yourself to showers and not baths, as ours is an older region with waste water disposal which can become overly regular. We cannot boast a large bathroom, but a clean one shared with Glen and myself. For a small price, you are welcome to dine with us in the evening if this is more convenient or more comfortable for you. Should you want a picnic if you are walking, then we can arrange something with you.
Please let us know when you would like to have breakfast when you arrive, so we can be well prepared.
Please check with us about the best spot for your car. Our drive is usually the best place. There is room for our cars and yours.
I am a Theatre Practitioner and English language teacher of many years. Have travelled all over the world, living in Australia and Canada for years. My husband Glen is from Australia.
