Finally, The Studio has a big sister...the snazzy and eclectic, recently renovated Garage in the same heritage listed warehouse, in the same quiet and leafy pocket of Newtown.
Our unique, character filled warehouse has been home to horses, hats and pullovers and can now be home to you.
The Garage has been recently renovated and filled with fancy I've gathered over the years... come and stay amidst the lively and colourful happenings of Newtown, just a stones throw to transport and the vibrant cafe and bar scene of King Street.
You'll have sole access to The Garage and garden porch and shared use of the leafy courtyard.
We live here too, in an apartment above the Garage and our roller door is beside yours in the rear lane. You will see us coming and going...our interaction need not be more than a wave but could also be a glass...see how you feel.
The Studio is our other Airbnb apartment so you may also see and/or hear these guests from time to time. Both The Garage and The Studio are set back off the street and accessed via the driveway at the front of the building.
The Studio is on the ground floor on the right and The Garage is on the ground floor toward the rear. Each have their own little porch for sipping tea and passer by watching.
We also have 2 lovely permanent tenants you may see from time to time who live upstairs in the front section of the warehouse.
The Garage roller door is like a metal curtain, it opens up to the rear lane and lets in loads of natural light. Opposite is a synagogue with the rabbi and young family residing there. It's a small and usually quiet synagogue but they do sometimes have larger celebrations and the festive cheer you will hear.
We have a dog who you also may hear.
Our driveway is sometimes used for our visitors to park in.
Sorry, no smokers
Please be considerate of our neighbours and us
I am an Australian who loves to make home an inviting, interesting and functional space to live in and be. Over many years we have lovingly restored and furnished our unique warehouse in Newtown.
I am a collector at heart, with a keen eye for faded beauty and utility. Our warehouse includes a selection of some of the vintage treasures I have gathered along the way.
We love to travel and have recently returned from 2 years living in Bali. We have had very rewarding experiences with AirBnB, both as hosts and as guests.
I look forward to making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and to pointing you in the right direction to make the most of your time in our wonderful corner of Sydney’s Inner West
