Quiet setting located close to Horseneck Beach, Westport River, Back Eddy and Bayside Restaurants, Westport Vineyard, and Buzzard's Bay Brewery. Only a short country ride to the center of town where you'll find Partners Village Store, Shattuck Gallery, Lees Market, as well as other little restaurants, and independent stores. The surrounding area has many hiking trails and wildlife preserves the closest being Audubon's Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary. UMASS Dartmouth 10 miles away.
Supports a relaxing weekend escape from the bustle of city life. This cozy space is neat, clean, and welcoming. With a sunny front porch where rockers await, to shaded back patio with water feature, you are free to enjoy the outdoor space to include an enclosed outdoor shower. You are welcome to use the common areas including kitchen and living room with TV (Apple internet (no cable) with Netflix).
The second floor has host bedroom/bath as well as 2 guest bedrooms (each with full-size beds) and private guest full-bath. I list one room for $65 per night with the option of renting the second one for an additional $45 per night. This allows you to have separate bedrooms while sharing the guest bath. (There is also a 1/2 bath on the first floor). To book the second bedroom, add one (1) 'additional guest' (over 2) and the $45 will be added to your cost. If you are booking the second room to accommodate two (2) additional guests, still only add one (1) additional guest so that you don't get charged the $45 twice. Clear as mud, right!
The common areas both inside and out are available for use. Tea and coffee are available and there is space in the refrigerator for any food items you might want to store to prepare with light kitchen privileges.
I work most weekdays and have activities several nights a week but I can be reached by phone call or text if an issue arises, you have questions, or you just want to connect. I am often unable to be home to greet you for check-in but use of a programed lock-box makes it easy for you to check-in on your own. A welcome note will provide the basic info you need to get settled in.
I’m a beekeeper and have two hives on my property so expect to see these wonderful pollinators busy working.
Born and raised in this sweet town, I built my home 22 years ago. With my children grow, I have 2 spare bedrooms and a full guest bath. Using Air B&Bs during recent travels though France/Spain inspired me to become a host because I really enjoyed the warmth of staying in homes and meeting hosts, as well as, others guests.
I like gardening, kayaking, biking, and walking the beach. I’m a beekeeping and have two hives on my property so expect to see these wonderful pollinators busy working. Speaking of which, I’m an engineer by day and create artisan jewelry on the side selling at a local cooperative gallery and starting to get the online side up and running. I enjoy socializing around gallery openings and art club meetings.
I look forward to sharing my cozy home and meeting travelers from near and far!
