A true gem of a house with three bedrooms, each with its own unique decor, and numerous amenities in San Antonio, Fla., close to Saint Leo University, the shops of Dade City and the state's best roads for cycling. This home is a comfortable fit for a single person, a couple or a small family.
I renovated this house, originally built in the 1930s, with lots of modern conveniences while preserving its rustic character. You'll spot unique details, including pecky cypress paneling in the living room and original linoleum flooring in the second bedroom.
The updated kitchen has a gas cooktop, electric stove, microwave, large refrigerator and coffee maker (percolator and K Cup). Coffee and tea are provided. You're welcome to use the staples and spices in the kitchen if you cook during your stay, but do plan on bringing your own food. You'll find plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils.
Large, front-loading washer and dryer are available for your convenience.
The TV receives network channels and is equipped with an Apple TV device. You'll need to sign in with your own Netflix or other streaming accounts.
The house has ample closets, areas to read, watch TV and enjoy a meal, books to peruse, first aid supplies and other toiletries in the bathroom linen closet, and a toy chest and pack 'n play for families with young children.
My family and I use the house for occasional getaways. We ask that you not disturb our belongings but otherwise make yourself comfortable and enjoy our beloved home.
Park in the back yard. There's plenty of space for multiple vehicles. Come in through the back door.
I live in St. Petersburg, about an hour away, so I won't typically be on site to greet guests. But I'm always reachable and have local people who can accommodate maintenance needs or other requests.
When cooking on the stovetop, please use the vent. The control for it is on the front panel.
No high heels or cycling shoes on the wood floors.
