You’ll love my place because it is brand new house in the heart of the Kitzbuehler Alps with stunning panoramic views, ski in/out to the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser, one of the largest interconnected ski areas in the world. Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser offers 280km of runs, 90 lifts and plenty of rustic mountain huts for lunch/ apres ski. Summer: Many hiking/biking trails, lakes and golf courses. Construction of the house was completed in Dec. 2016. Truly one of a kind dream location!
Welcome to our home in Going am Wilden Kaiser!
There is a white folder, labeled Guest Services, in the living room. It has a lot of local information, suggestions, and the following house rules:
Kicking off your shoes will be the first step to relaxing ☺. There is a red bag with slippers, for you to use, in the entryway. The entire house has floor heating; your feet will stay toasty. The house will stay cleaner and more comfortable without shoes, most of the dirt in homes is tracked in from outside. We let people prop their feet up on the furniture, or curl up on a chair/sofa, their feet won’t stain or tear them up.
GARAGE DOOR REMOTE:
There is one garage remote available for your car. It is located on the wall next to the door from the garage to the entryway. When you depart, remember to remove the remote from your car and return it to the wall by the inside garage door. There is 100 Euro Fee, if the remote is not returned to the wall by the garage door.
FRONT DOOR KEYS:
When you arrive there will be two house keys in the lock box next to the front door. When you shut the front door it will lock automatically. Don’t get yourself locked out. Inside the house, on the first and second floor is a white phone where you can open the front door from the inside. When you depart, please make sure you return both keys to the lock box. There is a 50 Euro charge per key, if the keys are not found inside the outside lock box after your departure.
FIREWOOD & FIREPLACE LIGHTING:
There is firewood in the garage that can be purchased, should you desire. We bagged up several bags. Each bag represents 20 Euro, please use what you want, but each bag is 20 Euro. Leave the 20 Euros on the kitchen counter when you depart, the cleaning ladies will pick it up. The firewood in the living room is meant to stay there as decoration. If you use it, please refill it. Please follow instructions in the white guest book on how to light the fire place.
BOSCH STEAM OVEN IN KITCHEN:
There are two ovens in the kitchen; the top oven is a Steam Oven und the bottom oven is a standard oven. There are operating manuals in the kitchen drawer next to the ovens. Steam ovens require special care, if you don’t know how to use a steam oven, please refer to the manual or only use the regular oven.
Occasionally, the drains in the shower might get clogged with your hair. Simply remove hair and dirt from the drain cover. The drain cover is under the metal plate on the floor of the shower.
WASHER AND DRYER:
They are self explanatory, just look at the display. The manuals are on top of the washer and dryer. Most important don’t forget to take the lint out of the dryer after each cycle. Laundry soap is provided. Keep in mind that the washing and drying cycles take a long time. When you depart, it would be greatly appreciated if you could start a washing cycle of towels or linens, just because it takes a long time. Thank you!
HOVAL FLOOR HEATING:
Our house is heated using an efficient “warm air pump” which acts much like an air conditioner running backwards. It heats the inside by cooling the outside. This system heats both the domestic hot water and an under floor heating system. The house is currently set to 21-22C. Each floor has several zones, which can be controlled using a system (shown below). However, please do not touch the system, because we have worked to set each position to keep each room/zone at approximately 21-22C. Just open the window a bit if you get too hot.
It is the law in Austria to register every guest. Children up to 15 years old are exempt. You will be asked to complete an online registration, and pay 2 Euros per person per day local tax. This amount is payable in cash when you receive your guest card at the house.
We hope that you will make yourself comfortable, and spend many memorable hours here. We are very excited to share our new home with you, and we ask you to respect just a few simple house rules and instruction.
I am Austrian, my husband is from California and we have three adult children. We love the outdoors, skiing, hiking, golfing, tennis and sightseeing. We enjoy authentic food, and of course we love to travel. In December 2016 we finished construction on this house. In the spring of 2017 we will finish the landscaping and terraces around the house. We are excited to share our new home with you in the heart of the Alps starting in February 2017!
