I have never given a negative review on AirBnB, but I am hoping that being honest will encourage Abbi to give this beautiful house the extra attention it needs to bring out the potential it has. When we arrived, the house was dark and the front steps were covered in ice. Luckily, no one was hurt, but it was certainly dangerous. The house was most definitely large, but it was missing a bed. The ad said it had 6 beds and sleeps 12, but there were only 5 beds and my daughter had to sleep on a couch. When I lifted the cushions to see if it was a couch-bed, the amount of trash and food I found underneath was disgusting. Even if it was a bed, I would not have used it. I even had concerns about my daughter sleeping on top of the cushions. There were 2 carpet transitions with tack nails sticking right through and everyone got a nail stabbed into their foot at one point or another during the stay. The hot tub was broken when we got there and it took several days before it was usable (day 4 of our 6 day stay). The jacuzzi was also surrounded by dog poop - there were piles of dog poop all over the back patio and going into the surrounding snow banks. There were few to no hooks or towel bars in the house and one towel bar in the master bath fell right off when we tried to use it. The host left the front door open for us to get in, but once inside, there were no keys, so we were never able to lock the home when we left and the garage-door keypad had no batteries. Most of the kitchen pots and pans in the drawers were dirty, the gas in the grill outside was empty and the home had not been dusted at all. Literally, the house felt neglected and sad. This is a real shame, because it could have been so beautiful.
