Guest Room. Sunny and bright.Desk,
Guest Room 3 miles to White House

A large, furnished, sunny and private bedroom in a house located in the serenity of Rock Creek Park, only 3 miles from the White House, 8 min walk to the bus stop, with biking trails at your doorstep and deer grazing in your front yard. Best kept secret in DC!

The Guest Room has a Queen sized bed, a desk, an office chair, a dresser, an arm chair, a TV, a night stand and two table lamps.

IDEAL for budget minded people, who plan to stay in DC for several months and care about their personal safety, security and healthy lifestyle.

In addition to the Guest Room, the house offers two large entertainment rooms on two levels. The main level room has a baby grand piano and a wood burning fireplace. The English Basement level invites you to play a game of pool or to enjoy a movie in the lounge area. The porch has a great view. It is a favorite place to unwind with a glass of wine and a great conversation.

UTILITIES. All utilities, wireless Internet, cable are included in one price. Laundry, kitchen (you will have your own separate refrigerator) and Bathroom are shared.

I am a very social person. I am fascinated with every human story, however, in general, the house is very private and quiet and together with the environment, it lends itself to recharging your batteries and it removes the stress of living in a big city.

入住时间为14:00 - 23:00

1. If possible, let me know your arrival time preferably 12 hours before your check in.

2. We do not smoke in the house and we ask you not to smoke inside either;.

3. We ask not to eat in the Game Room, especially on or around the pool table for obvious reasons.

4. Please use our shared laundry between 10 am and 9 pm. Although the washer and the dryer are very quiet, however, the noise may still be disturbing in the early and late hours.

5. We expect that you will not have overnight guests, unless an advanced arrangement is made.

6. We will be sharing the same house, and all the common rules of respect and cleanness are required.

7. Please turn off the lights, (a fan, a heater) and use your keys to lock the house, when leaving it.

Please do not whistle in the house. In Russia whistling inside is considered to be rude to the owners. As I was born in Russia, I still believe it :)

This place was convenient for a college student looking for a semester stay in DC. Without a car the commute to the metro station would be very inconvenient. The room was a great study space and had plenty of room. This is not an ideal space if you are looking to be comfortable around the whole home. This is better suited for someone looking for privacy. The kitchen had all the tools you'd need but was quite outdated and dirty. There is no air conditioning or heat which became quite uncomfortable in the hot and freezing temperatures. Overall I would rate this space a 3.5/5. It meets the essential needs of someone needing a basic place to stay.
Just some clarification: There is a central heating and central air conditioning in the house that consists of three levels. Obviously, the temperature will be different in individual rooms, therefore each room is equipped with a powerful individual heater and a fan for the guests to adjust the temperature to their individual needs. While kitchen cabinets and appliances are not brand new and look outdated, they are in perfect working order and will be updated gradually. However, there are three individual guest refrigerators in the kitchen that are brand new. Kitchen is cleaned on weekly schedule. The house is located between two metro stops. While commuting to one of them (Red Line) is more convenient if you have a car -- we provide free parking near the house and there is free parking near metro -- commuting to the other metro stop (Green Line) is more convenient without a car.

Natasha welcomed me into her home and provided a nice comfortable room. The month and 7 days spent there were great. I played the piano, wrote a song, and enjoyed the neighborhood very much. In my opinion, the area is very nice and all the homes on the street are definitely at the next level. Morning walks or runs to Rock Creek Park were peaceful at 5:30am. Nobody around except the birds. And they do sound a lot different than the ones in California. I would come back again.

It was the perfect place for me to stay, a nice room and bath located in a nice area.

The host was very welcoming and offerred a ride from the metro station. The house is located in the Rock park, close to the National Zoo and minutes from downtown.

Natasha greeted me at the door, gave me awesome directions and very helpful tips on how to use the Metro. The room was spacious and private, beautiful and very very comfortable. I'd definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.

Lovely home in a picturesque neighborhood! Natasha was a gracious host- offering to drive me to and from the Metro station twice daily! I had coffee every morning with her and enjoyed my conversations. (She also offered food but had breakfast and lunch at the Institute I was attending at the Smithsonian.) A comfortable room with a view- it was definitely better and safer than a hotel. I wish I had been able to visit the nearby park but the weather was a little warm... maybe next time!!

Natasha was a great host! Very quiet, safe location!
