Edinburgh is a beautiful, and historical city, with many sites and attractions so you will never be stuck for things to do. Edinburghs most famous attraction is the castle whose view overlooks the whole of the city allowing for some of the most breathtaking city scapes. The castle has previously been home to Scottish Royalty, army headquarters, and more recently is the back drop to the Fringe Festivals “Edinburgh Military Tattoo”.
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe (The Fringe) is the world's largest arts festival, with the 2013 event spanning 25 days totalling over 2,695 shows from 47 countries in 279 venues. Established in 1947 as an alternative to the Edinburgh International Festival, it takes place annually in Scotland's capital, in the month of August. The Fringe is a showcase for the performing arts, particularly theatre and comedy as well as dance and music which are also represented.
As well as being steeped in history Edinburgh is also packed with plenty of markets, local stores, exclusive bars, vibrant cookery schools and excellent restaurants and pubs, Edinburgh and the Lothians offers a great range of eating and drinking experiences. From the largest farmers’ market in the country to specialist local stores, it is easy to see why Edinburgh and the Lothians is a popular region for foodies. When it comes to fine dining, Edinburgh boasts an array of Michelin star restaurants both in the city centre and peppered around the historic port of Leith. Take a break from the bustle of the city to enjoy a simple cup of coffee or afternoon tea in Edinburgh. Delicious sweet treats provide the perfect accompaniment to some beautiful and unusual flavours. Whether you want to enjoy a pint of local ale, sip elegant cocktails in exclusive venues, or savour a dram of regional whisky, Edinburgh and the Lothians caters for all tastes. With everything from international cuisine to Scottish restaurants, Edinburgh boasts some wonderful dining experiences for all to enjoy.
I have extensive knowledge of Edinburgh and can recommend a lot of places of the beaten track – Just ask!!!
I encourage feedback so I can aim to improve so all suggestions are welcomed.
Living room, bathroom, kitchen, as well as the use of cooking facilities and Tv & and Wi-Fi are all accessible whereas things in the cupboards and drawers are obviously not and should be respected.
As I have said I aim to make my guests as comfortable as possible and allow my guests to come and go as they please and love to speak to people and would welcome the opportunity to speak and chat with you when I am not working but don't mind if you just want to relax in your room.
I am a social outgoing individual, I am British Chinese and like to keep fit. I love dancing and travelling. If I had to chose five things I couldn't live without They would be in no particular order - * My friends, * Good food, * My Car, * Eyelashes & of course * My mobile phone. =).
I enjoy meeting new people and love to interact with people of all cultures and get to experience this especially during the Edinburgh festival with people visiting Edinburgh from so many countries across the world.
You only live once so make sure you do the best you can in everything. :)
