This is my apartment, and I absolutely love it. However, I spend most of my time on the West Coast now, so I'm sharing the love!
It's peaceful, roomy, and fully furnished with everything you could possibly need: wireless internet, well-stocked kitchen, internet TV, queen bed, and full bath with tub. It's a perfect temporary home and a lovely place to kick up your feet after a long day (and/or night!) enjoying all that Manhattan and Brooklyn have to offer.
Awesome Brooklyn Location - Right off Franklin Avenue on the Prospect/Crown Heights Border. The neighborhood is blowing up right now! My apartment is on the 2nd floor of a friendly pre-war building just 2 blocks from the Franklin 2/3/4/5 (1 stop to Barclay's Center, 4 stops to Manhattan) and 1 block from the gorgeous Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Brooklyn Museum. It's an easy walk to the Grand Army Plaza Saturday Farmer's Market & Prospect Park, not to mention all the great restaurants and businesses that have sprung up like mad along Franklin Avenue: Barboncino (amazing wood fired pizzas,) Chavellas (Delicious Oaxacan Mexican in NYC? Yes indeed.) Franklin Park (beer garden/dance hall,) Crown Inn (the rivaling beer garden/hipster hangout,) Brooklyn Yoga Coop (namaste that hangover!) Catfish (Bloody Mary brunch,) Mayfield (snazzy oyster happy hour) ... and the list goes on. There are also 4 grocery stores, 3 laundromats, 2 cutesey food markets, and several nice wine shops within a 4 block radius.
Bonus: The kitchen and living room look out onto a shared roof garden that I created with my 3 (wonderful) neighbors. It's a real treat to have green space near you in the big city.
I'm happy to answer any questions at any time. I know the neighborhood well, and also know a ton of people in the building so you'll be in good hands if you need help.
Franklin 2/3/4/5 stop is 2 blocks away.
