I stayed for four weeks in the middle of winter, but I've never felt cold thanks to the panel heater in the bedroom, the fire place in the living room and the electric blanket. The house is very basic but it's so comfy. The kitchen is a bit outdated but has everything that you need: including pans, pots, and utensils for guest to use at anytime. Free milk, cereal, rolled oats, eggs, tea for breakfast, you just need to prepare by yourself. It is a five min walk to the hospital, 15 min walk to New World or Countdown supermarket, and easy access to public transport if you do not have your own car. Both Grant and Mildred are very friendly and accommodating. Happy to recommend to everyone that looking for budget accommodation near the Tauranga Hospital. I will definitely stay here again when I come to Tauranga. Thank you Grant and Mildred
You get what you pay for. House was clean and basic, bit outdated with few old stains on carpets and bed linen. No TV, not that it mattered just to note as it says there is on the description. Check in was a nightmare. We told the hosts when booking that we would be there between 4-6pm which they said was OK. When we arrived just after 4pm there was no one at home and we could not contact the hosts. 30 minutes later another Air BnB guest who was staying at the property came back and let us in. I contacted the hosts again through AIR BnB letting them know we had got in to the house but needed keys as we were heading into town between 7-9pm. No reply and hosts werent home before we left so had no key for room or house. When we arrived back at 9pm we were nervous we wouldnt be able to get in but the host was there however was rude to us implying she had contacted us about the keys (untrue). We felt awkward durning our stay as a result. Would not stay again. We are not the first guest to have this problem so book somewhere else if you dont want the hassle.
