Birchcroft was built in 1902 in East Leland as a summer home to entertain family and friends. The Arts and Crafts movement of the time is evident in the details of the home such as the 98 leaded glass windows and split stone porch and fireplace. Close to many wineries, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, and Traverse City, this home is ideal for families and friends ready to make timeless memories.
Beautiful turn of the century historic craftsman cottage known as Birchcroft rests on a mature wooded 2.94 acres with 263’ of frontage on the east shore of North Lake Leelanau. Not many of these grand cottages are left and this one has been beautifully preserved. The home features 9 bedrooms, 98 handmade leaded glass windows, hardwood floors, antique light fixtures and wonderful flowing living areas with craftsman touches through out. The local stonemasons of that time out did themselves when they built the fireplace, lakeside porches and a stunning stone walled courtyard.
Guests will have access to the entire home, dock, sand beach, and lakefront. This is a seasonal Home and rentals start Memorial Day weekend and end October 31.
I am available at all times if you have questions or something breaks in the home.
A list of wineries will be made available as well as other local attractions.
