I'm near Goucher, Towson Univ.,Loyola Coll., College of Notre Dame, Morgan St. Coll., John's Hopkins Univ., Balto. City, I-83, Towson Town Ctr, Timon. Fairgrounds, & Hunt Valley. My place has a convenient location, quiet neighborhood, ample interior space, high end furnishings & tranquil outdoor space with hot tub, gazebo, garden & pond, (2) fridges, Microwave, Keurig, Convection Oven, induction burner & griddle, washer/dryer. The electric fire place sets the mood for all travelers young & old.
I believe what makes my space so unique is that you are not expecting to get so much in a newly renovated basement. The 1800 count sheets alone will make you sleep like a baby! Plus the extras you are privy to outside in my backyard. Those extras will be better enjoyed during Spring,Summer, and early Fall. Except, for the hot tub, that and the gazebo, since I do have a small heater, you should be able to also enjoy in the colder weather. I now have a changing table, folding crib, high chair, baby monitor, children's dishware, & books. Both the sofa bed and air mattress are queen size!
The bottom level is at your disposal. Please be mindful that I live upstairs, but that doesn't mean I expect you to be super quiet. There is a full size fridge in the garage as are the utensils & charcoal for the grill. I keep marshmellows on hand if you want to toast them over the fire in the fire pit. The holders for the marshmellows are also in the far cabinet in the garage. The kitchen is actually a kitchenette. There is a convection oven, a Hestan Cue Smart Induction Burner & fry pan, also a 2 quart sauce pan, and a 5 quart essential pan and there is a griddle to cook with too as well as a food chopper & a 5 in one grater. You may also use the grill on the outside deck in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. The backyard & gazabo are for you to enjoy as well as the fire pit and the hammock and dream lounger; which is a very unique chair. that is located by the pond, and of course the hot tub. There are extra blankets in the aqua trunk in laundry room and extra pillows and comforters in cabinet in garage.
If you should have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me on my cell. I'm reachable through out your stay. I have left pamphlets on the desk concerning what is going on around town. Also, starting this Spring, I will be providing the Sun Paper for you to read on the week ends. It will be left in the gazebo, so, not to disturb you. Also, if there is anything that you wish to have removed for either your childs safety or for the safety of the decoration, please let me know and I will be more than happy to place it or them in my locked storage room. I do have a brand new pac n play that hasn't even been opened that is available for infants .
Be mindful this is a family neighborhood, please watch your language while you are on the premises. At the bottom of the stairs I have installed a child safety gate. Also, all outlets are covered with safety caps. A lock has been installed on the inside laundry room door where the cleaning materials as well as the vaccum, iron and iron board are kept. The key will be kept in the cabinet above the bench. If you feel your child might be able to reach it, then by all means keep it on you, but please return it back to the cabinet before you leave. There are also beach towels on the Aqua trunk to be used for the hot tub. I also have three small lanterns that you can use to guide yourself when you go outside to the hot tub or fire pit. They are sitting of the edge of the white bench. There are extra coffee pods for the Keurig as well as Coffee Mate Creamers, and also large pods for the carafe. I do have protective covers on the furniture that I feel might have sharper edges. If you are in need of a changing table, crib, high chair, or PAC n play while you are here, just let me know, because I do have them available. There is a green book on the desk with Host Information Sheets that give you all the information you could possibly want to know, also these is a small book to sign telling me what you thought of my Airbnb. Please take a minute to sign it. I have also printed out my guide book.
No smoking either in the house or gazebo.
During the week loud music inside needs to be turned down by 11:00 P.M.
During the weekend, loud music inside needs to be turned down by 1:00 A.M.
Please be respectful of my neighbors when you are outside using either the fire pit or hot tub. They don't need to hear everything you are saying!
There are wine glasses in the gazebo for your use as well as on the caddy in the laundry room. There is also a wine cooler which I have a sleeve for which is kept in the freezer in the garage.
I do have available a pack n play for infants. I also have safety mesh rails for young children to put in place to protect them from falling out of bed, ( this is only a preventive measure, I can't guarantee your child will not fall out of bed even with these rails in place)!
Under no circumstances are weapons of any kind allowed on my property.
unless you are a police officer and even then, you are to notify me if you have one in my home.
During the Spring,Summer, and early Fall you may have access to the grill on the deck. I keep charcoal in the cabinet in the garage, where you can also find the mini fridge as well as a regular size refrigerator.
A microwave is now available as is a convection oven, a 5 in one chopper/shredder and a Cuisinart Griddler Deluxe along with the Keurig. There is now an Induction Burner as well as pans to use on it. An exhaust fan has also been installed to handle any cooking odors and to keep my smoke alarm from going off. I also just installed in the garage a full size refrigerator. I hope these other additions will make your stay a little more comfortable. There are storage container in cabinet over the white bench as well as beach towels on top of aqua trunk for use for hot tub. Please put wet towels in the washing machine, not the laundry floor. There are VERY SHARP KNIVES ON THE TABLE NEXT TO THE CUTTING BOARD! IF SMALL CHILDREN ARE AROUND, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBLILITY TO PUT THEM IN A SAFER AREA!
I'm a retired Teacher's Assistant, who after my husband passed away suddenly, decided to renovate my downstairs and open an Airbnb, unless my daughter and her family are visiting from out of the country. I block those dates out for them or if I go to visit them which for the next couple of years is in Mozambique. I have another daughter who lives here and recently had my first grand daughter. My daughter in Mozambique has two boys. I enjoy mystery novels as well as a good romance novel. My music is pretty much all over the place, except I'm not real fond of rap. I try to go to the movies every once in a while with some neighbors and I'm doing better with trying different kinds of foods. I love meeting new people and sharing my newly renovated space with them and listening to their stories that they want to share. So far, everything has gone well, and I hope that it continues to do so.
