My cabin is close to the Russian River and the Sonoma coast. You’ll love the cedar hot tub, comfy queen sized bed, redwoods, and creekside location.
We had a great time staying in this lovely cottage. Our host was very prompt in responding with any questions and inquiries we had. There was but 1 small hiccup in our stay but David was quick to resolve it. He even came up one day and left us a beautiful flower and a delicious tomato from his garden! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here!
We chose this place for the second half of our honeymoon and we're so glad we did. The house is fairly secluded out in the woods, so it's already special for that reason alone. David has impeccable style and has decorated the place to make it look straight out of an Apartment Therapy featured house. A mix of mid-century modern, David has added small details around every corner that you'll appreciate. From the dimmed lamps to the fine cooking tools to the exceptional cedar hot tub illuminated by the string lights, I can't imagine not enjoying your stay at this cabin.
This place is wonderful for two people. The grounds are lovely and set up for a real relaxing time. The decor is spot on, making the cabin feel warm and inviting. The cabin is secluded, but about a 5 to 10 minute drive to downtown and a Safeway. The cedar hot tub is amazing. Here are a few things to note: 1 - There is little to no phone service up here, so write down necessary details for your check in, especially the wifi code in case you need to check airbnb for more details. 2 - David provides citronella candles and Off bug spray, which should definitely be used (as he lets you know) toward late in the evening! They helped a lot. 3 - Get the numbers of the cab companies in the area. There are maybe two. We used Bill's. Expect about 40 minutes to an hour for the cabs to arrive. 4 - If you are bringing a portable device to play music on, you may want to play music at mid to low volumes, especially outside. My wife and I had brought a JBL Charge 3, and were informed our music had gotten a little too loud around 8pm on Saturday. We had used the speaker for most of the day without issue. I think the neighborhood is more of a quiet community, so it would be best to keep it down at most times. Enjoy yourselves. This place is marvelous, and you can really tell that David puts care and passion into the grounds.
We wanted a secluded, quiet retreat where we could enjoy the woods and recharge. David’s cozy cabin was exactly that! He thought of all the details from books to games to functional kitchen to comfortable seating on the back deck to cozy robes (a plus since I forgot mine and the morning was a bit chilly). He even had a humming bird feeder where we could watch the birds thrum their way around the porch, once as close as a foot from my face where, for a few seconds, we just watched each other before it darted into the trees. We were close enough to town where we enjoyed great dinners before heading back to enjoy some good books. The only disappointment I had was that the creek had run dry for the summer. I would have enjoyed listening to the creek, something very soothing in that. But everything else was perfect. Kudos to Dave for sharing his cabin and being the perfect host, and available if we had any questions. Thank you!
