Other posts were 100% correct; location was amazing. It is one street off of the main road in this wonderful little village that is very close to the heart (Central Business District - CBD) of Sydney. Grocery store and about 20 restaurants, spas, ice cream stores, shopping, police & fire station, post office, etc all within a few blocks. A ferry dock is about 1 km/15 min walk thru the village. On the ferry, it is an 11 minute and $5 ride to the CBD by the Sydney Opera House. Bus service was close, frequent, and easy to use as well. Parking is bad everywhere except in front of Roisin's house and she gave us a resident parking permit. She has a washer but no dryer (has the racks to put clothes on to air dry). There's no yard between the houses but we still have full privacy, even outside in the back yard area. There's no air conditioning up stairs but she has 3 fans. Most nights it was just fine and we were there in the middle of the summer. My wife and I stayed there with our 4 kids, exceeding the number of beds so my 18 yr old son slept on the couch with ease as it was very long and comfortable. WiFi had a good signal except in back bedroom on 2nd floor. Roisin left two pages of helpful notes on how to use the appliances and the bus, moved many of her personal belongings out of the way for us, and provided 3 keys. She had left town but as another guest mentioned, had her friend Chris greet us. He was there waiting on us, was very nice, and knew just as much about the home as Roisin did. The batteries in a remote control for the air conditioning died and I couldn't figure out how to change it. Called Chris and he was able to easily talk me thru it over the phone. Also, when I placed my web request on Roisin's home, she answered it in under 10 minutes and maintained good communication throughout. Overall just a great experience for all 6 of us, both inside the home and around the neighborhood. If I am lucky enough to ever get back to Sydney, I will stay here again.
