A row of skylights across the ceiling filter natural light into most of the living space, with larger square ones over the kitchen area to cast a glow over everything you do. The floor-to-ceiling window in the loft space opens up to a small balcony (soon to be expanded into a giant roof deck- we can't wait!)
Twin showerheads in the bathroom allow for an intimate couple's shower. The fluffy towels are always freshly laundered thanks to the convenient washer and dryer in the closet directly across from the bathroom, which is available for your use during your stay.
Note that there are two great bedrooms plus a sofa or air mattress. The one that is up the stairs has tons of privacy and is totally separated but because it has no door, some sound may travel.
One last thing: I really, really appreciate that you followed directions and read the whole thing. Please put the phrase "Harlem Globetrotters!" at the top of your message so I know you did so as such bookings tend to go so much smoother! And thanks for hanging in there!
All areas of the apartment are available for guest access, except for items clearly in storage in the bedroom closets. This includes your private balcony!
Please feel free to use pantry and kitchen basics, such as eggs, coffee, sugar, spices, flour, oil, grains, etc, and of course fruits & veggies that may go bad if unused (these were either left by myself or previous guests, so dig in--within reason!)
The space features self check-in, and my friend Seth will serve as a "co-host" on this and handle any questions you have and get back to you instantly over Airbnb messages if you have any questions. Note that, for your safety, a security camera monitors the hallways and exterior of the doors (if you were planning on sneaking 20 people in, you can move on to a different listing right now).

This is a 4th floor walk-up apartment, which means NO ELEVATOR. If climbing 3 flights of stairs is difficult for you or a part of your group, this may not be the place for you.
The building's tenants all know each other and are comfortable with me having AirBnB guests in my apartment. They are all very busy people and work long hours though (two are doctors and one is a professional dancer), so you're unlikely to see them much.
While same-day bookings are sometimes possible, please inquire BEFORE booking to confirm. In addition, same-day check-ins may require slightly later check-in times.
**IMPORTANT*** If you have MOBILITY ISSUES and/or DIFFICULTY CLIMBING STAIRS, this IS NOT A GOOD APARTMENT FOR YOU. We have 3 flights of stairs and no elevator.

-This is a shoe-free house. Please leave them in the shoe-holders at the door!
-Smoking is allowed outside on the balcony only, NEVER indoors, not even through an open window. And please close the balcony door so smoke doesn't get in. The building has a shared ventilation system and our neighbors can tell when people smoke inside. This is a very strict rule and violating it will result in immediately terminating your reservation without refund (please don't make us do this!)
-Children are allowed but note that the unit features a staircase that very small children could slip through. I will leave it to guests to determine if this is a hazard for their children, and they book at their own risk.
- PLEASE don't open the windows- there is A LOT of dust that comes in from the street. Skylights are ok to open though :)
- Be courteous to the neighbors- keep things quiet on the stairs (it's not soundproof; they can hear you)
- Please turn off the AC, lights and make sure all the skylights and doors are closed when you go out... if the skylights are left open squirrels can get in!
- We have specific garbage pickup dates twice a week. By staying, you agree to take the recycle appropriately and take the trash out on these specific dates (we actually get fined by the city if we don't do this right).
