Confortable room private bathroom panoramic view located near the historic city center and 10 minutes from the airport by car.
I had a great start Teresa's apartment in Cusco. Her husband Renato and the children were friendly and welcoming making it a great base to see Cusco. The apartment is close to the bus station and an easy 20 minute walk into the Plaza de Armas, both by day and night it was was a safe neighbourhood. Also taxis and buses close by if you opt not to walk. There are good local restaurants close by as well. The room is very big, comfortable bed with attached bathroom which was great being self contained. Highly recommend for a short or long term stay.
Teresa and Renato are a really nice couple and went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable stay, including helping me book a taxi at a decent rate from the airport, and letting me leave my bags while I did the inka trail for four days. Communication was excellent, they always replied to me within a few minutes. Renato speaks very good English which helps a lot. The room is huge, with a private bathroom and your own balcony with an awesome view. The flat itself is very modern, and an easy 20 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. I was very comfortable there as a nice but affordable break from hostels in order to have a bit more comfort before and after the inka trail and rainbow mountain hikes. The only minor things that might put you off are that there can be road noise at night (but I wear ear plugs so no problem for me) and the heat of the shower was sometimes inconsistent, but I think this can't be helped my Teresa and Renato as it seems to be pressure related. Overall I would definitely recommend staying with them!
I have stayed here for 16 nights. The family is very lovely and help you with things no matter what. The apartment is about 20-30 minutes walk away from the center. You can always catch a taxi, approx 5 Soles. For Cusco, please prepare yourself for following: at night it gets cold. There is no heating system inside, no electrical heaters either and just cold water. Only for the shower, there is an electrical system to shower hot. Late at night, it can happen there is no water at all. However, this is valid for whole Cusco. So you rather want to stay with a nice family like Teresa and Renato!! Muchas gracias por todos a sus dos!
