My place is close to Malasaña, Parque del Oeste, Plaza de Olavide, Moncloa, Ciudad Universitaria, Sol. You’ll love my place because of the neighborhood, the light, the kitchen, the wide space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. NOT SUITABLE FOR STUDENTS.
The listing is for three bedrooms and three bathrooms in our beautiful, bright and spacious 140 m2 apartment.
The whole apartment has been renovated a few years ago and is open-concept.
The neighbourhood is called Chamberí. It is quiet with lots of supermarkets, restaurants, and shops. It is at a 10-15 minute walking distance from hip neighbourhoods Malasaña and Conde Duque, and to Gran vía. It's also a 10-minute metro ride to Sol (the city centre).
It is very well connected, with two nearby metro stations (San Bernardo - Metro line 4, and Quevedo - Metro line 2) and a third one a little bit further away (Canal - Metro line 7), and several buses going to the North, South and Eastern parts of Madrid. It is also a 10-minute walk from Moncloa where you can take buses to the Sierra.
It is a very bright apartment with plenty of sunlight during the whole day. It gives onto a quiet and green space between the surrounding buildings.
First bedroom/Master bedroom: It has a double bed and gives onto a private and quiet yard.
Second bedroom/Children's bedroom: It has a trundle bed and gives onto a quiet inner patio.
Third bedroom/guest room/en-suite bedroom:
It gives onto an inner courtyard. It is therefore very quiet. The bedroom has its own private bathroom (a sink with mirror, shower, and WC).
The kitchen is available for you to use. You can also use the washing machine, iron and ironing board, and the outdoor clothes line. Please see my other listing for pictures of this room and of the rest of the apartment.
We have a vey nice and cosy movie theatre at a 10-minute walking distance where they play the latest movies in their original version with subtitles.
We also have a hammock where you can have a siesta or sip on a sangria while you think how wonderful life in Madrid is!
Washer, clothes line, ironing board, kitchen, dishwasher, pantry, fridge, TV, dining room and living room.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
I will not be physically present but will be available through e-mail and phone. Guests can get in touch with me if they have any questions or any issue arises.
My neighbour will be the person in charge during my absence.
I do not rent my apartment to undergraduate students, sorry!
I don't feel comfortable with the idea of my guests bringing their own guests into my home.
Smoking is not allowed.
Please do not use outside shoes inside the apartment.
Please treat my house with respect!
My name is Laura, I'm half spanish, half iraqui. I was born in NYC and grew up in Brussels.
Until last September I had been living in Madrid for 13 years and was very much enjoying it. But I am now spending a year abroad and since I am not occupying my apartment I have decided to rent it out.
I work as a freelance translator and interpreter. I am also a tree-hugger and a vegetarian who loves to upcycle and refashion clothes.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Looking forward to meeting you!
