Newly remodeled 4,500 square foot home with beautiful finishing and many custom elements. Handicapped friendly with ramps in the front and back of the house, accessible over-sized showers and an elevator. Amenities include pool table, juke box, foos ball, karaoke, horseshoes, ladder ball, croquet, musical instruments, bar, large TVs with access to Netflix, Hulu and local cable, high speed internet, children's play area, board games and puzzles.
Three of the bedrooms can be situated with two extra long twin beds or one CA king bed. We have special dividers that insert into the beds so that there is no crack when the two twins are pushed together - it feels like one large bed. The fourth bedroom has two regular twins (that can't be pushed together) and the fifth bedroom has a queen sized bed.
You will have access to the entire house and garage, excluding the owner's locked cabinets. You will have access to the large upper and lower decks and the back yard, which is on the lake. Note that we are in a drought so the lake is very low and our dock currently sits on dry land.
You will have free access to a personal concierge during your stay. You are encouraged to call or text her if you have questions or need help with anything in the house (door locks, internet, coffee maker, etc.) She lives in Big Bear so she will also be able to help you with local recommendations such as dining and activities.
There is a marina about 300 yards from the house where you can rent boats, kayaks and other water crafts and toys, buy bait, get a fishing license for the day, etc. When the lake is high, you can drive a boat right up to our dock!
Appliances include: washer, dryer, iron and ironing board, multiple blow dryers, Ninja Coffee Bar, coffee grinder, electric water kettle, ice maker, oversized fridge, dishwasher, gas range and oven, microwave, crock pot, toaster, food processor, waffle maker, hand mixer, popcorn popper and gas grill.
No more than 10 persons will occupy and no more than 5 vehicles shall be parked on the premises during this period. No vehicles shall be parked on Edgemoor or other residential roads. The responsible party agrees to present a valid ID for proof of identity to the Lodge Manager.
PAYMENTS are made according to the reservation site used for the transaction.
FINAL PAYMENT AND SECURITY must be made prior to arrival at Harbor Cove Lodge (the lodge).
PROCESSING FEES: Actual fees will be to the account of the guest, dependent on reservation method used. Residual balance will be deducted when the Security/Damage/Loss Deposit is returned.
INSURANCE: Guests are encouraged to purchase trip insurance to protect their vacation.
CANCELLATION: All requests for modifications and/or cancellation to a reservation must be made via the reservation site. Cancellations are subject to a 100% cancellation cost of the money paid unless Harbor Cove Lodges is able to rebook the specific rental dates. Refunds will be prorated based on the days rebooked, and value of rebooking, less a 20% administration charge.
SECURITY/DAMAGE/LOSS DEPOSIT: Will be returned according to the rules of the site on which it was received. Items that are missing or broken, damage to the property, extraordinary cleaning due to excessive trash/filthiness including removal of smoke smells, and any residual payment transaction fees will be deducted from the Security Deposit.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Check-in time is 4PM which allows the lodge to be properly cleaned between guests. NO EARLY ARRIVALS unless pre-authorized. Check-out time is at 11:00 am. Late check-outs must be authorized in advance by the Business Manager. This is to ensure the lodge is thoroughly cleaned for the arrival of new guests. Unauthorized late check-out will be subject to the following fees: 1/3 of daily rental rate after 11:00 am but before 1:00 pm; 2/3 of daily rental rate after 1:00 pm but before 2:00pm; Full day rental rate after 2:00 pm but before 3:00 pm. Harbor Cove Lodges will sincerely try to accommodate late check-out requests, but requests must be preauthorized, and only when no one else is checking in the same day. Cleaning staff are NOT authorized to approve late check-out requests.
PETS: If any pet, or evidence of a pet, is found inside the lodge, guests will be subject to immediate eviction and forfeiture of all monies including the security/damage/loss deposit. PLEASE UNDERSTAND due to allergies of some of our guests, it is especially important to NOT allow animals inside. Security/Damage/Loss Deposit will be forfeited in total if an animal is found inside.
LOST KEYS AND REMOTE CONTROLS: Will be subject to a $200 lost key or lost remote control fee. Fee covers door lock change, new keys, remote control replacement or whatever deemed necessary to ensure security and utility.
PARTIES/GATHERINGS/WEDDINGS: Large gatherings, parties and/or weddings are not allowed in the lodge or surrounding grounds. Big Bear Lake does not allow amplified sound, disturbance of neighbors or street parking.
SMOKING: Please refrain from smoking inside the lodge. We do permit smoking outside on the lower patio and upper deck. Please use the provided ashtrays and stay clear of doors and windows while smoking.
ELEVATOR: The residential elevator is available to move people and supplies between floors. Children are to be accompanied by adults. Both doors must be closed on both floors for proper operation. Complete instructions are located behind the control panel in the elevator.
SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS: Harbor Cove Lodge does NOT have any control over service interruptions of electrical, water, cable TV, internet, VOIP phones, land line and cellular telephone service. These services are managed by 3rd party providers. No compensation will be provided for service interruptions. Emergency lighting is available in the pantry. The hallway lights will automatically light in service failure.
CAPACITY: The total number of persons allowed to occupy the lodge as well as the total number cars parked on the premises is listed on Page 1 of this Agreement. Should the number of occupants or cars use be misrepresented by Lessee, the Lessee shall vacate the lodge without a refund.
PROBLEMS: In the unlikely event that Lessee incurs a problem with the accommodation (excluding 3rd party service providers); Lessee must first contact the Lodge Manager. Should the problem not be corrected in a timely manner, Lessee should contact the Business Manager of Harbor Cove Lodges for further assistance.
EARLY DEPARTURES: Should Lessee vacate the lodge before the Agreement departure date for ANY reason, Lessee shall lose the right to any compensation or refund.
LIABILITY: Harbor Cove Lodges, it’s Agents & Associates are providing rental services only for the Property Owner. Harbor Cove Lodges and Property Owner are NOT liable for any personal property loss, theft, personal injury or death to Lessee, occupants, or any visitor to the lodge at the invitation of the Lessee, for any event including Acts of God while at the lodge, grounds, or in transit to the lodge. Lessee agrees to forever hold harmless Harbor Cove Lodges, its representatives, and the Property Owner. Lessee is responsible for the lodge and lodge contents during occupancy, must lock windows and doors securely at all times when not on the premises, and must exercise care in securing all personal property.
