Our place is close to downtown Elkhart events, including the annual Jazz Festival. We are only a 35-minute drive to the Notre Dame Stadium.
The guest bedroom is on the upper level (of 4 levels). Although the bathroom is not attached, it is only steps away, and you will have exclusive use of it during your stay. Our bedroom/bath are on the lower 2 levels, so you will have plenty of privacy. Only our 15 yr-old son (16 in October) also sleeps upstairs, but you will rarely see him.
Our guests can relax in the comfort of our living room at any time or enjoy a movie (through Wi-fi, DVD's or VHS tapes) on the big screen in our tv room downstairs on the lower level (see photos for the above).
- No drugs are allowed on premises.
- Big screen TV in the downstairs TV room is available for use until 10:00 p.m.
- Guest may use bedroom TV as late as desired, as long as the volume does not disturb the other occupants of the house.
- Coffee and tea will be available in the morning, if desired (to be discussed upon arrival).
- Absolutely NO running around the pool (when pool is open).
My husband, Mark, and I are from smack in the middle of the Baby Boomer generation. We love people, and we love life. We are adventurers by nature and own a hand car wash & detail shop by trade. Music is our passion, especially when it's jazz. But we also love contemporary Christian music, as well as Gospel Jazz, and it's nothing for Mark to spend hours in his music studio working on arranging songs that I have written over the years. I usually have some kind of sewing or craft project in the making. Whether it's sewing tooth fairy pillows, making a quilt for a grandchild or knitting scarves and baby booties, I never have a boring moment! Mark and I love to travel, but at this point in our lives we find that owning your own business lessens the opportunities to travel. Bringing guests into our home brings the world to us, and we never tire of hearing stories about the traveling experiences of others. We feel that when guests stay with us, they become part of our family. We hope that they will feel the same way after their stay.
