Casa Piccola in the real Italy
Casa Piccola in the real Italy

The visit to Casa Antonietto is a small revelation for those who like to bike, walk, relaxation and enjoy some of the good food in Emilia Romagna and not to forget to mention the nature & culture in the area!

CASA PICCOLA is in the Emilian hills.
The house stands right outside the small village of Coscogno in the midst of a panoramic view of beautiful nature. It is 35 kilometers south of Modena and 50 kilometers from Bologna . There are lots of exciting trips possible in the area.

Do you dream of a quiet and peaceful vacation, in close contact with nature and far away from every day stress? Do you want to spend your holiday reading your favorite book under the old walnut tree or do you want to get physical active? Everything is possible at Casa Piccola. The area is a true paradise for food connoisseur and is better known as "the Italian food pantry". Do you want to experience the true Italy, visit the astonishing opera in Verona, the beautiful nature, and discover the Italian cuisine? We have it all!! Additionally the region of Emilia Romagna produces some of the best Parmesan cheese, Balsamic vinegar, cars (Ferrari’s) and beautiful tiles anywhere in the world. The area gives you great opportunities for a walk in the mountains or a bicycle trip you will never forget.

The little guesthouse/apartment is built on top of the earlier portico. It's a part of Casa Antonietto
A small and cosy apartment with an abundance light - the great window section faces west. The larger house blocks direct sun, so it is not too hot inside, even without shutters.

Livingroom with a dining table and a central fireplace.
There is room for 2 people in the dobbeltbed on the first floor.
It is possible to make an extra bed for a child.
The kitchen is open, with acces to the garden and a cosy covered portico.
There is easy access to Casa Antonietto´s own pizza oven.
Large and beautiful bathroom with a hairdryer.
In the kitchen there is a gas stovetop combined with a convection oven and also a small refrigerator.
There is also access to the laundry room where you can wash whenever you wish.
It is of course allowed to use the several large and small terraces around the house and on the common grounds.
The many sunny spots, shady hideaways, barbecue, pizza oven and art studio may be used by all guest.

If you feel like becoming absorbed in Italian cooking we have good contacts with local producers. It is possible to visit and watch the production of Parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar and Lambrusco wine .. all originated in our area.

I live in the house next door and is available as a guide, prepared with great tips for wonderful experiences and great restaurants.

Such a beautiful place to stay! Lisbeth's home is located within the hills outside of Modena and the views were stunning! Her home was very charming and comfortable, complete with outdoor patio, pool, and outdoor grill we hope to utilize on our next visit. Everything was excellent! What really made our stay, however, was Lisbeth's exceptional hospitality. We didn't really have much planned during our stay in Modena and we are glad we didn't because Lisbeth gave us amazing recommendations that made our holiday even more special. She took us to a private tour to the local Parmigiano- Reggiano producer and made us reservations for lunch and dinner on the days we were there. We did not speak any Italian and it was extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend staying at her place and make sure you take her advice on where to go!

We were looking for a remote Italian countryside experience, and we got it! Our stay at Casa Piccola was extraordinary. The property is lovely, peaceful and has multiple outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the views. Our cottage was beautiful and comfortable....and Lisbeth was kind enough to stock it with fresh cheese, jam, wine, coffee, and fresh bread she brought over from her kitchen. There was a fire burning in our fireplace to welcome us when we arrived. We loved our stay and wished we could have had a few more days to unwind and spend more time enjoying the indescribable scenery, but were often sightseeing during the day. Lisbeth was such a terrific host setting up a dinner reservation, balsamic vinegar production tour, lunch at a local cafe and always offering other recommendations of things to do or see. We would have loved to have sat out on the patio with her and enjoyed a glass of wine. Thanks, Lisbeth... for making your home our home during our stay!

Allez-y !!!!!!!
Grazie mille Ruzzolone is the name of the game !

We had an amazing stay at Lisbeth's house. She is a fantastic host and we really enjoyed spending time with her. The welcome package is a very sweet touch and all the restaurants, walks and markets she recommended were on point. The house itself is great, tastefully decorated, the kitchen is very well equipped, the shower is spacious and the bedding is very comfortable. The view from our little terrasse is wonderful as is the view from the pool. The area is exactly what we were looking for, in the middle of the countryside, very very quiet, the scenery is beautiful and the sunsets breathtaking. There are some great food shops very close. Not another foreigner in sight, so gear up on your italian or at least learn how to say hello and thank you with a smile. The house is about an hour drive to Bologna and Modena which are both well worth the visit, we even made a day trip to Florence. Thank you Lisbeth for making our holiday so perfect, for spending time with us, it was truly great to meet you! We will be back!!

In one word: Perfect! Lisbeth is a great host, the view was terrific, the house cosy. Lisbeth even put a bottle of wine and fresh ricotta in the fridge to welcome us. It's a quiet place to relax, with a close drive to cities like Modena and Bologna. Also the visit to the Parmiggiano Regiano-"factory" in a closeby village is a must. We would love to come back once.

We had a great time! The house and garden have everything you need for a comfy stay. The spot is really beautiful and perfect for relaxing and nice (day)trips. Foodies can eat their heart out! Lisbeth gave us the nicest tips on restaurants, groceries, places to see.

What a beautiful find! This peaceful, tranquil location was a perfect overnight stop on our motorbike journey through Italy. Lisbeth is a wonderful host and the apartment is amazing - tastefully decorated, with everything new, clean, fresh and modern. The location is ideal - quiet and peaceful with spectacular views yet with a small supermarket at the end if the road. Larger shops and good restaurants can be found approx 5 kms away. Lisbeth was kind enough to make us a delicious impromptu lunch when we arrived hot and dusty after a long ride in the bike and the breakfast the next day was just as good - lots of it too!! We would definitely stay here again and wholly recommend it!
