The cottage is centrally located it;s with in minutes of everything no matter what direction you have to go in.The things i liked the most was QUIET,CLEAN & COMFORTABLE . Even tho there;s no WiFi or cable All we really needed was a place rest after our long days out Riding & Exploring AND if you need a nite cap after you day out ? there;s a little bar across the street .little neighborhood place .all and all a nice place to stay .
We rented the place to go to the Brewer's game and visit family. It worked out great for what we needed. Its a small 1 bedroom house, nothing fancy, but priced right. Washer and dryer, full kitchen and a nice little cement patio behind the house to sit under the maple trees. Miller Park was easy and quick to get to. Walking distance to the area diners and bars. Had to laugh at the bar named The Drunk Uncle across the street. I forgot to go and buy a T-shirt...Would of been cool to have. The train does go thru town but it doesn't sound the horn at the crossings. I'm used to it and it didn't bother me...It isn't annoying if someone's worried about it.
This is a great place to stay for the price. You're in walking distance to several corner bars and a quick drive to most places visitors will want to see in Milwaukee. Since there is no internet service available be prepared that the Milwaukee Area is not great for Wifi. If you will need reliable internet service I suggest setting up your phone as a mobile hot spot for your stay. Other than that it's exactly as described and Mike is great to work with!
Great value in a little house. Good location easy drive to downtown Milwaukee. Living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. Lots of space. It was fun to have vintage TV to watch. Were able to use iPhones to check email and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). If you want better internet connectivity you will need to go to a library or coffeeshop. We had a fine time.
Michael is transforming a rustic backyard cottage - - located in a historic part of West Allis’s transforming community - - into an Airbnb destination. His cottage provides a bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen with a smart decompression space = TV, coffee table and comfy couches. (A shady patio was quietly under construction as I packed for home.) You know you're going to be enjoying Milwaukee’s metropolitan offerings, bars, food, festivals, Harley or Lakefront events, shopping opportunities, or even a family reunion… and this is the place to park your stuff/regroup while you treat yourself to local adventure. It’s safe, easily accessed and conveniently located near West Allis boutique food and shopping as well as the interstate system’s hop-skip-jump. I can’t wait to see what Michael does for this bed-n-breakfast next!
