Our spacious town house overlooks the pretty Vézère river and is a two minute walk from the centre of the old town of Le Bugue with its Tuesday market, shops, restaurants, boulangeries, etc. and everything required to have a good holiday in a rural French town. There are many attractions nearby to cater for all tastes. The house is let by the week from Saturday to Saturday.
Our house in Le Bugue is very deceptive. From the front it doesn't look anything special but it is like a tardis, going back a long way and with a large (11m x 5.6m) south facing terrace overlooking the pretty Vézère river with parkland on the opposite bank....and you are only two minutes walk to the centre of town. All the rooms are spacious and very well appointed, with air-conditioning in most areas. On the ground floor there is a lobby, fully equipped kitchen, small cloakroom with w.c. and hand basin, then onto the dining area, lounge and terrace. On the first floor is the master bedroom, the twin bedroom and a large bathroom with bath, shower, w.c. etc. On the second floor is the double bedroom and a second large bathroom with shower cubicle, hand basin, w.c., etc. Hair dryers are available in both bathrooms, and all the bedrooms have plenty of hanging space. The two double bedrooms overlook the river to the rear of the property.
The house is let as one unit, week by week, Saturday to Saturday. We will be on hand to welcome you in, and where possible we also come down to say cheerio when you leave and see how your holiday went. Although there is no direct parking at the house there is plenty of free parking within a couple of minutes walk away, which we point out to you on your arrival. There is a courtyard at the back of the house where people who arrive with their own bikes or canoes can keep them secure.
We live locally so can provide help if required, e.g. booking restaurants, advice on places to go, etc.
There are many activities in the area to suit all ages. For example golf, tennis, walking, hiking, canoeing, horse riding, swimming, cycling, aqua parks and adventure trails for children, hot air ballooning, visiting vineyards, exploring grottos & chateaux and other places of places of interest, plus eating good food and drinking good wine from the area. In Le Bugue itself has a well know aquarium and a living museum of ancient times plus a new airpark. Plenty to do....or sit on the terrace and enjoy the view with a glass of wine in hand doing very little !
