Comfortable, spacious, and ready for your family or friend getaway, this Big Bear City vacation rental has three bedrooms, a large game room, and an expansive balcony complete with grills and seating. The eight guests staying here can enjoy snow activities like downhill skiing in the winter and water activities like fishing in the summer.
Set off a quiet residential street tucked high in the mountains, this home is perfect for a relaxing week full of skiing, snowboarding, and so much more. Bear Mountain Resort is less than two miles away for endless winter fun. And during warm summer days, drive a few miles more to rent a boat at the marina for fishing and water skiing. We are 2 miles (6 minutes) to Bear Mountain Resort, and 3.5 miles ( 10 to 15 minutes) to Snow Summit.
With a newly revamped interior, each guest will love the upscale feeling this mountain home offers. Unique decor hangs on the green walls and perfectly complement the dark wood floors and natural wood vaulted ceilings.
Entering beneath the balcony to the lower level of the home, you'll find a huge game room filled to the brim with toys, games, and more to keep kids easily amused in between outings. Pick a board game from the closet to play at the corner table, or play a game on the Nintendo 64, which is attached to a flatscreen cable TV. Netflix streaming, a Blu-ray DVD player, and WiFi are even included here!
Furnished with a queen bed and a twin-over-full bunk bed, the downstairs bedroom is perfect for a small family, or for all the kids to sleep together. Two more cozy bedrooms are located upstairs, each with a queen-size bed, giving all eight guests a wonderful place to rest after a long day of activities.
After a day of skiing the slopes at Bear Mountain Resort, kick off your wet gear and snuggle up by either of the fireplaces (one on each level) for a quiet night in. Take a hot shower or bath in either of the two full bathrooms and toss your clothes in the washer and dryer before whipping up a tasty late-night snack in the full kitchen.
Set on the second floor, along with a dining room and living room, the kitchen offers more accessories than you probably own in your kitchen at home! Enjoy a steaming hot cup of coffee using the coffeemaker or French press, cook up some scrambled eggs on the stove top/oven, and end it all by tossing the dishes in the dishwasher before running out for a breathtaking hike. Also included are a refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, mixer, slow cooker, and plenty of cookware.
Eat your home-cooked meals at the gorgeous black dining room table for eight, at the countertop barstools, or out on the deck. Grill your freshly caught fish or juicy steaks on the gas grill.
Take a nap on the rustic leather sofa or loveseat, then kick your feet up in the matching armchair and ottoman to watch the game on the flatscreen cable TV. Play a card game across the large coffee table, or grab a book and enjoy some quiet time upstairs while the kids play downstairs.
Bear Mountain is about five miles away from this lovely home and offers activities for all seasons. Snow Summit is another fantastic nearby place to enjoy snow sports. Snow tubing in the winter, a water slide in the summer, an alpine slide, go karts, and even mini-golf will easily make for a great afternoon. The Alpine Zoo is set right next to Bear Mountain Resort and there are numerous trails close by as well, so don't forget your tennis shoes! When the sun is shining and the birds are singing, drive five miles down to Big Bear Lake and ride jet skis, learn to parasail, and fish from sunrise to sunset.
Snow or shine, this beautifully rustic Big Bear vacation rental is sure to become your favorite home away from home!

This Cabin is at 7600 feet, it can get cool in the evening. Please note, there is no A/C however, and in the hot summer months I recommend keeping the windows open and perhaps bring a fan. The downstairs is always cool, even during the hottest summer days.
