A rating this low deserves an explanation, so here goes: Kurt doesn't seem to care very much about the comfort of his guests. He stood there smoking cigarettes while I carried my suitcase up three flights of stairs, to an apartment that was 35C+. When I asked if I might have a small fan, he just laughed at me. (I ended up buying a fan with my own money, and leaving it in the apartment, so future guests can be more comfortable than I was.) 99% of my AirBnb hosts are super helpful... they help me carry my suitcase, make sure I'm comfortable, offer me some cold water and maps of the area, etc. In this apartment, on the other hand, I felt like I was an inconvenience, and the host just wanted me gone.
My second time staying with Kurt, first time at this location. Great experience for a two-week stay; in a family neighborhood with easy transit access into the center and other points around Vienna. Great sunlight and lots of space, and an oven, which can be a luxury in flats over here. Kurt was communicative and helpful - highly recommended across the board.
