The Columbia Gorge River House is a spectacular Stevenson Columbia River Waterfront home ideal for couples & small families. Perfect location for relaxing in your own private waterfront retreat after enjoying time on the water. Easy 1-2 block stroll to shops, groceries, cafes, restaurants/bars, brewery, etc.
Please Note: The railroad runs near the river through the gorge. Most of us quickly get used to the sounds and movements but light sleepers may be bothered by the trains.
We have been renting our home to summertime visitors for many years (reviews are available on our website) and have recently added our listing to Airbnb. Our beautiful 3-level 3-bedroom 2500 sq ft craftsman home offers spectacular views from all levels. It includes all new quality furniture, linens, appliances, and gorgeous slate floors. High vaulted ceilings in the main-level living area and two upstairs bedrooms and bath. The main level includes one bedroom, bath, kitchen/dining, living room, and tiki bar room which opens to a waterfront deck and side patio area with picnic table and BBQ. The lower waterfront level includes the 4th bedroom and family room which leads directly through a wall of glass doors to a stone patio with just a few steps down to the river. You will find plenty of outdoor furniture and a gas BBQ for summer grilling, alfresco dining, and lounging.
This home is one of only a very few located directly on the Columbia River. The easy low-bank river access from our private cove offers the ideal launching area for water sports and swimming. You will have a private front-row seat to watch all the river activities, amazing birds (osprey, eagles, geese, and ducks+), summer sailing events, SUP standup paddle and Gorge Outrigger races, Bridge of the Gods Kite Surfing, and July 4th fireworks! You can leave your car parked once you arrive, as you are in the center of it all, an easy 1-2 block stroll to downtown Stevenson shops, grocery store, cafes, restaurants/bars, award-winning Brewery, parks, windsurf and kite board beaches.
You will have access to the entire home, deck, and patio areas including a waterfront patio with just a few steps down to the river.
The owners often stay in another home down the street and are available when needed.
