Talofa & Welcome to Island Home Rental. As Airbnb Hosts since Sept 2016, our first guest Nov. 2016, we welcome you.
Since you've chosen IHR, most likely your first time on island, no GPS capability on island, someone (most of the time one of us) will be there to welcome you from the airport and lead you to IHR.
Though island life is slow, steady and relaxing, to stay connected to your friends, family, and business connections off island, great wifi is made available for you to input into your device upon arrival.
Besides being minutes away from the airport, local markets and restaurants, you will have access to hot water, air condition in both rooms and wifi. We value you as our guest(s) and know the importance of having access to a cellphone, so 2 cellphones with local numbers are available for you with a few dollars in each. If you need to add additional minutes, just ask for ASTCA phone cards from any local store.
Guests have our cellphone numbers included in both IHRental Cellphones. Guests can call us anytime. In case we are unavailable to answer calls, they can leave a message and we will respond shortly.
There are no house rules as we are all adults who would care for others' property as our own, but these are more of our sincere requests and tips:
Each time you leave our home, PLEASE make sure the following are turned OFF:
- Air condition in livingroom & bedroom
- Rice Cooker
- Other kitchen Appliances
We have never had a break in and are not worried especially with our guard dog Avapui always on watch, but it's best to be safe than sorry.
There are switches for outdoor lights at night (carport area switch on wall next to kitchen trash, front porch switch near the livingroom door). It's your choice if you want to turn them on. Just please turn OFF in the morning.
It's your choice if you want to share food with Avapui, but please NO chocolate. It is dangerous for animals. He also has a water bowl out front. I have a gallon water next to it. If you can PLEASE make sure to add water as needed. He is well fed by our lovely tenant in our 2 bedroom home.
There is an ample supply of bath towels available in bathroom. In case you need more, there are more towels in bedroom drawer.
If you've decided not to rent a car during your stay, there are Aiga buses and taxis available. If you are looking at utilizing the Aiga buses, it's just a short walk to the front road. Bus fees are normally $1.00 one way, but can be more depending on how far your travel. Aiga buses do NOT operate on Sundays, so please plan accordingly.
As new Airbnb hosts and revamping our 1 bedroom home rental as of early November 2016, it is still work in progress in getting our home to make it as comfortable for you as possible. We are very open to any suggestions you may have to help us better serve you.
