Guest have access to private off street parking at the front of the Granary.
There is a private garden at the front of the property with maturing fruit trees and lovely climbing roses over the gate house.
The deck to the rear of the property looks out onto the onkapringa River, it shares a Deck and steps down to the river frontage with the River Cottage next door. There is a canoe for both properties to use, along with safety vests
You will also find a bbq for each end of the deck for your private use.
Hosts live offsite, meaning that you have maximum privacy, but are supportive and can offer recommendations for daytrips, meals and tourism activities if required. Lots of tourist information has been left available on the study desk.
The little English styled township of Old Noarlunga is an absolute gem, and worth exploring by foot. Market square is famous for families get togethers at this popular reserve, where you can also find many walking trails around the Onkaparinga gorge to the back of the village. Cross into the Onkaparinga National Park, and follow any of a number of signposted walking trails. Spend a day in the provided 3 person canadian canoe and safely paddle down to the sea at Port Noarlunga and return. Or spend a day sampling wines at the wineries in McLaren Vale and Willunga. Go to the beach just 10mins down the Seaford road, visit Victor Harbor, Middleton, Port Elliott, and the river towns of Goolwa, Clayton and Milang. Things get busy during the Tour Down Under, and the School Holidays. Wake to find people launching canoes and fishing across the river from your own riverfront backyard.
If you have used the 3 seater canadian canoe, please return it to its upside down position on the jetty and tied to it, after rinsing it clean. Please return the paddles and the lifejackets back to the garden shed. If you have caught fish, please finish cleaning them at the waters edge first. Please leave the bbq clean. Most of all, have FUN !
