Located centrally in the National Forest we are in a quiet and peaceful semi-rural position, on the edge of the Staffordshire, Derbyshire border, yet close to town. This is an ideal spot to explore the Derbyshire peaks, or for visiting any of Staffordshire's major tourist attractions (such as Alton Towers, the National Memorial Arboretum, and St Georges Park), and is ideal for ramblers, business travellers, and holidaymakers alike, however, connectivity could be difficult without own transport.
We offer a newly-furbished double room overlooking green space. The main bedroom price per night is for 1 or 2 people sharing. In addition you will be able to enjoy a PRIVATE bathroom, and sitting room, on the ground floor with patio access to a secluded rear garden with water feature and decking for al fresco dining. The sitting room has a bed settee which may be used for an additional 1 or 2 guests at £10 per person per night. This living space room is only available to guests renting the main bedroom, and has a TV/DVD. It also has a microwave and toaster, and cutlery along with crockery to enable guests to prepare simple evening meals for themselves.
The listing is for one or two guests sharing the double bedroom. In the event that a guest would be uncomfortable sharing the double bed, the sitting room sofa bed is available.
A light continental breakfast is included in the charge.
Guests have exclusive use of a full half of the house, with no adjoining walls. This consists of a double bedroom (upstairs), ground floor PRIVATE bathroom and a PRIVATE sitting room with a sofa bed, for another person or two if needed. You are welcome to use the front and rear gardens which both have seating. Breakfast may be taken either in the private lounge, conservatory or outside (weather permitting!)
We are around much of the time, so interaction, or conversation, is as much as you require.
We provide an extensive up-to-date folder detailing local amenities, walks and tourist attractions and are happy to offer any personal advice to help you make the most of your stay with us.
Although we have a general ruling concerning pets, we are open to the possibility, if your pet could be housed in the conservatory.
Although we have a check in window of 3.00 to 9.00pm, we would appreciate prior notification of check in time, and a later time is negotiable if you will contact us in advance.
