A chic, eco-friendly oasis in the jungle, but in the heart of town as well. A serene property with a river stone pool and comfortable furniture from which to nature watch.
4 identical one bedroom apartments.
Amazing house! The house is exactly like on the pictures. Elias, the property manager is very nice and he made great recommamdations as per where to eat. Also, the coffee machine was not working and within the same hour it was fixed. This place is great if you want to relax and enjoy the view in a very comfortable way.
Monika's place was modern, chic, and perfect for a stay in this lovely beach town. We loved the eco-chill vibe. The apartment was only a few blocks from the beach and close to all the restaurants/bars including a sweet bakery. Her property manager met us with the keys (even though we arrived early), and explained all the local sites and was very welcoming. We met Monika a couple of days later and she was so warm and obviously so proud of her home and adopted town. All communication was super immediate and kind. I would absolutely recommend this house to guests and can't wait to return myself!
Such a gem! First, Monika was great to work with - easy communication, easy check in - it's so nice to start a trip that way. Second, the digs were SO comfortable. Little things like quiet but very functional AC was great. Nice kitchen with the basic necessities and a coffee pot/toaster oven/fridge. Plenty of space to spread out and/or tuck in together. The little pool in the middle is small but such a delightful cool dip when the midday sun is really hot. The place is quiet, tucked in next to the jungle (we saw coatis, an armadillo, iguanas, and monkeys in the adjacent forest). However, it's literally a 45 second walk to (arguably) the towns tastiest restaurant, and to a really tasty bakery and coffee spot. There is a liquor store a block a way, and an organic veggie store 2 blocks away, if those are your thing. The beach is a 5 minute walk, but down main street, so you can check out the neighborhood offerings as you head to la playa. We had great experiences with SUP rental and swimming there, and there seem to be almost as many Ticos as tourists, which is also great. You can't go wrong staying at Monika's!
