Sweet little double room overlooking rear garden, near station. Off street parking. For more info see also Sunny Garden room in same house. I have blocked Sunday and Monday nights but do ask if you need these dates, there is room for manoeuvre.
This is a family house, with assorted students, one well behaved dog and a civilised 14 year old boy. It is not a professional b&b or a 5* hotel with a team of cleaning staff (but you have already guessed that from the price!). It is slowly becoming more chic than shabby but it is work in progress.
In general I don't provide breakfast, but would never let anyone leave without helping themselves to a cuppa and a bit of toast if they are in a hurry. I once even produced a very superior home made muesli for a need specific guest! There are excellent cafes nearby, for swift and leisurely breakfasts.
During term time we are early risers, but accomplished tip-toe-ers. We will do our best not to disturb you, but it is not the British LIbrary. At night, if someone comes in late, the dog will almost certainly bark, briefly.
With awareness and respect. Smoking outside is not a problem.
I enjoy independent travelling and air bnb is a fantastic concept. I'm a single mother of an adventurous, articulate 14 year old boy who is a joy to travel with. My background is in theatre and architecture, at the moment the focus is on parenting.
If I had to choose a religion I would say that Tibetan Buddhism is what mostly informs my life. Bach for order, Beatles for nostalgic fun, Latin American for dancing. Greece for sunshine, Nepal for my soul, France always.
Travelling with my son I am looking for responsible, kind and generous hosts, who are willing to share something of their humanity and their own culture.
