Our home is midway between the villages of Santa Catarina and Panajachel on a private lane with fantastic views of Lake Atitlan and the volcanoes. There are restaurants, art and culture in the village centers. You will enjoy the tranquility, high ceilings, the coziness, and the palapa with another kitchen and fireplace. The house also has a private apartment that can be rented also. The home is good for small groups and families. A full time maid cleans, shops and does laundry.
One of a kind! Complete privacy in the mountains with lake views yet close enough to walk into town. Please note the price is for six people. The third bedroom is on the palapa which is a covered waterproof area above the main house. If only four people rent the house a discount will be applied.
The entire house is yours with exception to the maids's room. We also have an apartment that can be rented for an additional two people on the lower level of the house. So we could accommodate up to eight guests.
We are always available for internet and phone contact.
Nature lovers' paradise! During the dry season it can get dusty but Roxi does her best to keep it clean. During the rainy season we get spiders and non-poisonous scorpions. Roxi will remove them as needed.
We live in Guatemala but are originally from Denver. We enjoy nature, culture and animals and civic activities. We do not smoke and are fairly quiet people. We are also politically liberal.
We travel a great deal and enjoy meeting people from other parts of the world. We recently toured Greece, Turkey, Panama, Costa Rica and the National Parks in the western United States,New England, Canada and Alaska, Mexico and Mediterranean. We travel frugally but comfortably.
We are both involved in volunteer work in Guatemala. We are avid readers of various genres and love to play bridge. We welcome positive, enthusiastic travelers of all ages who want to experience the indigenous cultures found around Lake Atitlan. Phyllis speaks fairly good Spanish and Blaine is learning!
