My place is close to art and culture, restaurants and dining, great views, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the outdoors space, and the neighborhood. My place is good for couples, families (with kids), and big groups. Daily maid service.
Your own house, but next door top a hotel.
Someone is always around.
Esteban, the "guardian" lives behind the house. He is the helpful gardener.
I am fifty nine and from California. I own and have operated a small hotel and restaurant on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala since 1990. Lisa is a sculptor, jeweler and art instructor who lived for sixteen years in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where she had a gallery, before moving to Guatemala in 2010.
Especially due to our remote location, we look forward to some of the cultural opportunities in New York, from museums to blues and rock and roll clubs, with a couple of art workshops and good restaurants along the way.
Not to blow our own pious horns, but to assuage the fear of sketchy foreigners--
I am on the local charity Hospital Board and constructed homes for the victims of a nearby mudslide. Lisa has taught mine victims in Vietnam and the handicapped in Mexico and Guatemala.
Fun loving, hard working.
