Loch front mid 1800s listed cottage with outstanding, uninterrupted views across Loch Fyne. Sleeps 6 in 3 double bedrooms - 1 ensuite. Wifi. Dishwasher. Enclosed garden with decking. Car parking adj. A few minutes minutes walk into the historical town of Inveraray with a variety of restaurants, bars, shops and attractions. Scenic walks from the door, through forestry, or to Castle and grounds. Excellent base for exploring this area of Scotland and numerous leisure pursuits.
Taigh Rosie is a cosy welcoming cottage which retains many of the features of an 19th century Scottish Cottage. It is however well insulated and has double glazing and central heating. The outstanding feature is the views from the rooms at the front of the cottage. Even the window at the top of the stairs has people stopping to gaze at the loch views. There is always something going on whether it is a heron taking off from the shore or the swallows (which nest in the eves) doing acrobatics or the light on the hills, the weather changing or... just what is that in the bay?
Guests have access to the whole house. There is a small courtyard area which is shared with the two other cottages in this small terrace but the enclosed garden and decking are for the private use of the guests. The seating area is sheltered and peaceful.
I will aim to meet guests whenever possible. If not the guests will be met by someone who knows the property. I will remain in telephone contact with the guests.
Recently retired doctor. Love the outdoors, photography, anything to do with nature, walking Byron the large labradoodle. Taigh Rosie was our weekend escape from work and city life and now having moved to a larger property in Inveraray would like to see others getting the same enjoyment from this charming cottage.
