Welcome to our beautiful alpine studio that is nestled in among the pines. Take a blissful journey into storybook treetops and awaken to a symphony of songbirds. Just minutes from Heavenly Mountain and the southern shores of Lake Tahoe, we invite you to embrace your sense of adventure and experience what it's like to live, even for a night, under the stars.
The studio is a serine, minimalist space that catches the light. With windows to the East, South and West, both moonlight and sunlight can be delightful to simply relax in. A great space to retreat from the hustle bustle, enjoy siestas, some yoga or just recharge for the next adventure.
Guests have a private space, yet steps from the main house, complete for a memorable mountain getaway. World class skiing, the beauty of the Lake and delicious cafes are just moments away.
In case you need anything during your stay, I live just across the deck (approx. 20ft away) in the main house. During your stay we'll share the common living areas (ie kitchen, dinning room and bathroom). You'll have an otherwise private space. You're welcome to use as much or as little of the main house as you like (including our hot tub).
We love our tiny cabin and we hope you do too! During your stay we ask that you keep the following in mind:
You must be 25 years old to rent our house.
Pets and smoking are NOT allowed.
When you leave the house, please close and lock all ground level windows and doors. Check to make sure no appliances and lights have been left on. Especially stove, fireplace, coffeemaker, ect. Turn the heater thermostat to 65 degrees.
We have great neighbors and ask that you keep the noise down after 10 pm. Loud or unruly behavior is restricted by local ordinance and may result in citation or arrest by local law enforcement. Alcohol in the possession of minors is not permitted; as well as illegal possession of controlled substances by any guest. Breach of these provisions could result in the immediate termination of the rental agreement and the forfeiture of rent and security deposit.
Please respect our hot tub. It is cleaned and serviced frequently and it's care and well being is a top priority to us. We ask that you keep drinks, food and debris out. Any excessive cleaning or damage will be taken out of the deposit. No children under the age of 5 permitted in the hot tub at any time. Please do not stand on the hot tub cover as it is for insulation purposes and is not designed to support a person. Remember when not using the hot tub, leave cover on so it will stay warm.
There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the house.
Garbage will be collected after your departure. Please bag, place and secure tightly all your trash in the trashcans at toward the bottom of the driveway. Please remember that you are staying in the forest and human trash attracts animals. While bears, coyotes, and raccoons appear to be cute and friendly, they are actually wild animals and will behave as such. With this in mind please do not leave any food or trash outside or in your car.
If you plan for a group of more than 2, kindly inform us. The City of South Lake Tahoe monitors occupancy closely. People other than those in the guest party set forth above may not stay overnight.
Parking is limited to 1 vehicle. Car is to be parked in the driveway only. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing and fines, and are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. Note: During the winter, if snow removal is in progress, street parking is not permitted by local ordinance.
Cars in the way of snow removal equipment on any street are subject to towing, impound fees, and parking fines. No refunds will be given for storms.
Our mountain roads can be curvy and steep. The driveway is well maintained; however, we highly recommend four wheel drive and/or chains during the snow months. We do not refund due to road conditions. Snow will be removed from driveways prior to arrival the first day of visit. Guests will be responsible for clearing snow that falls during the rental period. Note: The driveway will be cleared after storms of 4 to 6 inches at no cost to guest but guest cars must be moved out of the way.
This home is privately owned; the homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. ICE AND SNOW INJURY WAIVER: Homeowners will not be liable for injuries resulting from slips or falls on slippery surfaces or from falling snow or ice. Ice and snow are a common occurrence in the winter season but can occur anytime throughout the year in Lake Tahoe.
