I spent almost two months at Zoe's apartment as a sublease before finding a permanent place in the city with my friends. For a brief summary of my time here: I loved my time in Zoe's apartment. It is exactly as pictured, and is very well priced for all the space you get. I am honestly spoiled after being in a room with a couch, massive bed, desk, incredible closet, and own bathroom. There is a lot of privacy with your own room/shower, and all of the benefits of a luxury building (doorman, gym, security) are all yours. For a longer review: This was my first extended time in the city, and I really enjoyed staying here. Most of the restaurants/coffee shops/ bagel places nearby are not chains, and there are A LOT of options. It was very enjoyable discovering new places every time I went out that felt very unique and local. Zoe also provided a wonderful little recommendation list that definitely helped my touring of the neighborhood. The blessing and curse of this place is that it is equidistant to three subway stops that are all 12-15 minutes away. Which means that you have access to the A, C, 2, 3, 4, and 5 that makes your life very easy when getting into Manhattan (I work in the financial district and it took about 30-32 minutes (lol) door to door.), but when it is raining or super hot/cold there is still a walk. Fortunately there is a bus stop 1 minute walk away that takes you right to the 2-3 stop (B65), and another that can take you to the 4,5 (B48). So if the weather is poor it makes it real easy. I had a few apartment mates when I was there, and everyone was super respectful of the kitchen and with being quieter at night. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would ever need, and I was given my fair share of cabinet/fridge space for my groceries. There is a great grocery store less than two blocks away that is reasonably priced. Finally, Zoe was incredibly accommodating throughout my time here. She was very flexible with my move in time (it was an early morning flight), provided me with a laundry card, and was always a text/phone call away if I needed any help. I highly recommend staying at her place.
Nice and cosy room, great decoration, you will feel home! Quiet and with large bathroom, all what you can appreciate when you are in NYC after a long day.. Cool to exchange with the housemates if you feel to, otherwise just enjoy your space.. Access to subway via Franklin avenue and multiple food shops.
