Enjoy a picturesque fall week on a small island off the coast of Portland Maine. Beautiful views, scenic beaches, stunning foliage, and relaxation await. Extensively renovated in 2012, home boasts a large kitchen and living room. Sunlight streams into the house, or bring your coffee onto the wrap around porch and watch the boats travel by. Make dinner and then unwind by a roaring fire as the waves crash out front. Island has a small sundries shop but groceries are easily sent from the mainland.
This Victorian era summer cottage boasts one of the most desirable spots on the island; western facing, the sun sets just between the two islands the home overlooks. Night after night, the unobstructed sunset views, visible from inside or out, are truly stunning. Renovated in 2012, the house has a large kitchen and living room, lots of comfortable reading nooks and has been lovingly maintained and improved. This is the perfect spot to come and get away from it all! The house is quick 15 walk from the dock but there is a golf cart available to make it a quick 5 minute ride.
The island is a 45 minute ferry ride from Portland which is known for its world class restaurants, historic charm and delightful downtown district. The island has limited supplies but groceries purchased in town are easily shipped over on the ferry.
Enjoy full access to the house, the golf cart, and the many lovely public beaches on the island.
I will be traveling during this time but will have a near by neighbor available to answer any questions or handle any emergencies.
