Large apartment located right on the street leading from legendary Charles Bridge to the Castle.2 bedrooms with 1 double,2 twins and a double foldout couch.Directly in the heart of old Prague, you don't need public transport, all is behind the corner!
This large and beautiful apartment is located directly on the old "King's route" on Mostecká Street, just couple steps from the famous Charles bridge, directly in the heart of the historical center. The castle is 11mins walk, the Old Town Square 15mins. Beautiful houses, streets and corners are all around you.
The apartment is located in a building named "By The Three Golden Rings" – U Tří Zlatých Prstenů. The history of the building goes all the way back to the gothic era, though it was rebuilt in the 15th century, so be ready for funky room shapes, arches and no right angles anywhere!
The apartment is on the 1st floor above the ground level) and has 144 metres square (1,550 square feet) with high ceilings, so it is VERY spacious! There are two non-adjoining bedrooms. See the floor plan in the gallery to get a better idea of the layout. One bedroom has twin beds and the other a double bed. It can accommodate up to 6 people, with 2 on the foldout couch in either the front bedroom or the living room (there is another, non-foldout couch there and those two can be swapped).
Bathroom is spacious and contains both a bathtub and a separate shower, bidet, towels, hair dryer, soaps, shampoo etc..
The large kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, infrared stove, electric oven, dish washer, includes a dining area, so a big dinner is certainly not a problem. The flat has two entrances and a small balcony above the inner courtyard of the building. The place was totally renovated in spring/summer 2013.
To sum this up:
144 meter square (1,550 square feet)
2 bedrooms - 1 double facing the inner courtyard, 1 twin + double foldout couch facing the street
Living room – smart TV with satellite channels (access to foreign language programming) + web access, maps, etc.
Large fully equipped kitchen with dining table for up to 8 people
Bathroom with separate bathtub and shower
WIFI broadband internet
Washing machine + dryer
Towels + bedding + soap etc..
Looking forward to meeting you!
This apartment is listed as a whole and everything inside is available to the guests. There is also a little balcony facing the inner courtyard that is part of the apartment.
This is a family owned listing and the only time I won't be greeting you in person is when some unexpected situation would force me so, and I will send an equal substitute in that case and come greet you asap.
I live in the same building and quite often I work from home, so I'm around if any help might be needed. I'm very fond of our neighbourhood and love to show people around. I can just point the right direction or we can go grab couple beers together if you would like, all up to you!
Private transport from airport/train stations:
The world of Prague taxi service is quite funky and infamous. As a possibility to avoid it when arriving on the airport I can offer service of a young licenced 3rd party company to pick you up. They offer a ride for 550CZK (approx. 20EUR, 22USD, 30AUD) for up to 4 people and 800CZK (29EUR, 33USD, 45AUD) for up to 6 people.
The times listed for check-in and check-out apply for the case of full schedule, if I can I will always let you come/leave at your conveniece. But the apart takes quite some time to clean due to its size..
No problem leaving luggage for any time needed.
Smoking is not permited in any of the interiors of the building, there is the little balcony, which can be used.
In the Czech Republic, we always take our shoes off when inside apartmens, so it would be nice if guests would also, though we do not impose that strictly.
Please make sure you shut all the way the door leading into the staircase, it looks like it will shut itself, but it won't ....
Hello, I'm a sound engineer from Prague who loves travelling and meeting new people!
I have numerous times studied abroad and I very well know how much more can there be to learn about a different country or city when you have the chance to get out of the regular "airport-hotel-general travel book" scheme.
