The check in process and communication leading up to it was great. Sudarshan's roommate was really discreet and gave us a lot of privacy. The location was perfect for tourists or folks working in the downtown area. The common area (living room, dining room, kitchen, washer) were really well furnished and we used them quite a bit because...
The room was really small, the latch did not work and there was no lock (!), the room did not have closet space, had no fan and we couldn't open the windows either because the room was right next to a very noisy street. Barring the kitchen which lacked a few basic utensils and the Wifi which was patchy at times, the amenities were ok. We were given just one key to the apartment and one for building access between the two of us which was not ideal.
The host reverted back to us AFTER the booking was made that he had to cut short our trip by two days! Sure, the booking ws refundable but by that time all the other decently priced options were taken and we went ahead with this and switched to a hotel for the last two days.
The listing also said to not discuss AirBnb with the building management, which I haven't seen elsewhere but sure felt weird (as if we were part of something illegal and could be asked to vacate if someone found out).
All in all, we did not see value in saving a couple of hundred bucks for our 10 day stay here.
