In the heart of the Port Market of the Old City, one finds a Fully Restored 2Bdrm Loft in a restored building from the early 20th century. The hub of gourmet restaurants , museums, art galleries,fruit and veggie markets, bakers, a block away from the river promenade, everything at walking distance . Prívate Terrace and BBQ.
This newly renovated 20th-Century building, located in the heart of the Mercado del Puerto two blocks away from Buquebus Terminal, is a home away from home. This loft apartment consists of 1000sqft indoor space and 650sqft of unique roof top terrace. Our loft consists of two bedroom suites one on each floor to grant privacy. Each with a full queen size bed, wall to wall closets, and a private bathroom with bidets and shower/tub, on each floor. On the bottom floor of the loft there is a fully equipped kitchen, that opens out to a high ceiling loft space that contains the living room and dining area. There is a mezzanine above the kitchen , perfect to watch a movie or nes after a day out an about. Equipped with WiFi, cable, alarm, AC in every room, and much more. Washer and Dryer to save the hassle of finding a laundry matt. All utility expenses are included, except for electricity, to be paid in cash at the time of check out according to consumption.

The apartment is part of Urban District building, where on the ground floor you will find , our offices and top designer showrooms, an a library of brochures and books previous tenants left for future guests.

This unique peninsula is pedestrian friendly all at walking distance, and if you wish to venture off to different areas of the city public transportation is affordable and highly efficient. You will be close to the primary bus stop in all of Montevideo allowing you to explore the city with great ease and the city is launching a public bicycle system in our neighborhood only! We are also two blocks awayfrom Buquebus, the ferry to Buenos Aires as well is parking. Taxis are highly affordable.

The longer your stay the less you pay. We had moved to Montevideo for a span of three years and we are now currently on our eighth year. We have very competitive prices for weekly and monthly stays.
Our offices are on the ground floor of the building, therefore we extend constant care to the needs of our tenants and cover the needs to make their stay unique .

The unique Heritage Quarters of the Old City is flanked on both sides of their streets with 20th century architecture. All at a pedestrian friendly scale.

Guests have access to a shared patio , a private individual terrace with barbecue for each apartment, WiFi, and once a week cleaning. They have the option of extra cleaning or ironing for 9USD and hour.
There is a parking a block and a half away that grants us a special offer of 12usd per day for our guests.We have a business center, computer with printer and WiFi available in our office for 5USD and hour, each print 1USD.
We have a library of brochures magazines and books of the different sites to see in Montevideo, tourists maps and a welcome package that gives them endless options, from renting out bikes, minivans, bike tours, restaurants, shopping, etc.


We fell in love with the Heritage Quarters 5 years ago and still are enjoying discovering the treasures this unique peninsula has to offer...you can find us urban heritage Montevideo. We also update different events, tips and recommendations from restaurants, art gallery's, museums, bars, theaters that personally have enjoyed....have a peek on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN).

Our offices are on the ground floor of the apartment building , therefore we extend constant care to the needs of our guests and cover the needs in cases of emergencies to make their stay unique. We give our guests a phone number that they can reach us 24/7 in emergencies .

We have an alliance with a Airport transfer Company that charges 40USD for 2 people, and 72USD for gorups of 3 -8 people, they are private cars or vans for each party, and they will await for you at the arrival gate of the Airport with either a Sign of our company Urban Heritage or your name. We will kindly ask you to pay the driver directly in USD, Uruguayan pesos or with a credit card ( 10% surcharge). In the event you would like us to book the service we would ask you to kindly forward your travel information.
We also have an alliance with a a rental car company, in the event you are looking for renting a car we can help you.

We have a rental contract to be signed upon check in, with the basic rules of Airbnb, which we will forward upon booking for your review. In the event you wish to receive it prior to booking please do not hesitate to request it. In the event you would need a receipt of your stay please do not hesitate to request it upon check in, so we can extend it to you.


All costs are included except for electricity, tennats will pay according to what they use.

A Sandra foi muito hospitaleira e flexível conosco. O lugar é incrível e muito aconchegante, alem de ser muito bem localizado próximo ao mercado da cidade. Como ponto neutro (e não negativo, pois na minha opinião não ha), tem a questão da energia elétrica que é cobrada a parte, mas ainda assim, nossa estadia de 4 dias ficou em aproximados 300 pesos.

Apartamento excelente com ótima localização. Praticamente só andamos a pé. O apartamento parece novo, com acabamento de boa qualidade e muito bem equipado. A decoração é de muito bom gosto. Fomos recebidos pela Sandra, muito simpática e prestativa. Tivemos um pequeno problema que foi resolvido imediatamente em pleno domingo de manhã, com muita tranquilidade. Recomendo! Apartment was well managed by Sandra. She dealt with a kitchen electrical issue and kitchen equipment quality problems right away. The apartment is large, comfortable and a block away from the famous "port market". So too are several very good supermarkets to buy produce and cook at home. There are some things to be aware namely the hot water 30 L heaters. Having a 2.5 minute shower is not great and you have to wait at least 15 minutes before the next family member can have a hot shower. In winter the living room area at night is very cold as the AC just doesn't heat the space. We were given a gas heater to help alleviate the problem. The noise from the street during the day is very loud and the common areas within the building with 4 apartments can be an issue if you are unlucky to have other guests who slam doors and who stomp up and down the rooftop stairway. Ultimately, management is right next door and can help make your stay a more enjoyable one. Remember that the guest is responsible for the electricity usage and it was $6.30 US per night for us (for 9 nights we paid 57US). regards, L
Dear Lesley, We would like to thank you for your feedback, yours comments are very much appreciated and we would like to answer one by one. Thanks for mentioning the proper management, kindly let me remark that it is the owner who has hired us as property managers at their own cost, and it would not be possible to address the issues that might arise with immediate solutions without the owners support and cost coverage. There are two water tanks of 30 lts each, and take maximum 5 minutes to reheat. mostly trying to reduce the environmental impact and reckless consumption. We cannot include the electrical bill in the rental price for when we had included it we had bills of usd 250 to usd 300 for a week stay, guests leaving the Air Conditioners on all day even if they were not in the apt, having a negative impact on environment. As from the moment we charged it separately the consumption dropped drastically therefore the daily electrical cost would be a choice of the tenant and their responsibility for the cost. Furthermore, the separate electrical bill payment is indicated clearly in the listing, and the rate is based on a prearranged price stated in the listing, and charged according to individual electrical meter. We would also like to point out that the AA provides quick warm air, while the gas heaters are for maintaining the room temperature longer, more than sufficient to keep the apartment warm, there are two AC of 18 BTU. in the livingroom dining room area plus an AC for each bedroom of 9 BTU each. Our offices are located on the ground floor of the building for issues solving as you were able to experience, it would have been relevant for us to receive your notice about noises from your neighbors during your stay. Even during the weekend we are available to assist in cases of emergencies to provide immediate solutions to any inconvenience that may have arose as you had mentioned. Perfect location in the old city with many many options for dining, shopping and activities! Sandra was very responsive to any questions and provided us with a detailed list of information at check in. The place is super clean and spacious. We did have to pay for our electrical usage while there and purchase toilet paper past the first roll. The kitchen is lovely- if you plan to cook, know that there are no provisions and you have to shop for a bare cupboard. That said, we were in a safe location that was immaculate and a pleasure to call home for a few days.

A beautiful apartment in the old, historic part of Montevideo; spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and just as described and pictured in the listing. This was an ideal base for our 3 night stay in the city and I'd recommend to anyone looking for a place in this part of town. My Danish husband Jesper and I , an architect from New York absolutely fell in love with this unique peninsula, Heritage Quarters of Montevideo. We have a company specializing in the urban restoration and revitalization of "Ciudad Vieja". We have restored a number of 19th-Century edifices and properties throughout the peninsula providing visitors to Uruguay with a unique living experience no matter how long you choose to stay in the country.

Urban Heritage's mission statement is to take part in the revitalization of the Heritage Quarters of Montevideo where we have found a unique community of local artisans, designers, shop owners, and neighbors that live in the heart of the downtown district of Montevideo, yet still preserve the neighborhood community feel., which is what captivated our heart! We wish to share that experience with who ever seek to discover the unique peninsula, rich in culture, entertainment, history, architectural heritage, etc. You will be close to museums, top restaurants, art galleries, boutiques & much more.

We will be happy to accompany you throughout your stay, 24 hour service, to ensure all of your needs are met during your stay. We speak English, Spanish & Danish. and a bit of French.
