Stunning home on 120 acres just 1/4 mile from town. Pano views of mountain ranges from Shasta Valley. Gourmet kitchen, wood floors, walls of Windows. Very private setting. 60 x 12 front patio for your entertainment . Very warm and cozy, what a gem.
This is a peaceful setting on top of a hill. It is a migratory path for many bird species, from Sandhills cranes to yellow breasted finches. Trail behind the house to ponds with many birds, deer, rabbits, squirrel and other furry residents. Not to mention the turtles.
The house and the grounds are available to enjoy during your stay. (Excluding the barn, unless you have booked it for your horses). The gravel road behind the house is a beautiful walk. Bring hiking shoes, because you might get your walking shoes a bit dirty, but it is worth it. The piece just behind the house fence to the North is not mine, but if you take the gravel road you can hike the 100 acres behind the house up to and around the city water tanks.
I always intend to be there and meet with my guests, but if I am traveling, I will have backup. I used to own the wine bar in Yreka, I truly love people and life stories. Please enjoy your stay.
There is a small market and gas station 1/4 mile away.
Most restaurants are closed on Monday except Casa Ramos
The Wildlife Refuge has seasonal opening and closures plz check on line at Shasta Wildlife Refuge
- We love our home, we have many fond memories here. This is country living at its best and we love to keep the outdoors outside. The kitchen has a granite island 11 ft x 5 ft for entertaining. The living and dining room is large with a wood stove for ambiance. The laundry has access to the outside back patio with a gas BBQ and firewood for the wood stove. The front of the house has Windows to watch every Sunrise, Sunset, and Storm that is given for our enjoyment. Please take off the muddy shoes and spare the wood floor of Spurs and spike heels. We have WiFi and smart tv's for your favorite shows. The wildlife here is Deer, Quail, Rabbits, Squirrels, Pheasant and Dove. No Bears here. The Shasta Valley 5,000 acre wildlife refuge is across the road and open to the public. Hunting and fishing is allowed there. We do have a horse facility and that is available to be rented also, depending on availability. Please no smoking inside! No pets inside unless crated in laundry room!
We love to travel and see the diversity of great cities and small towns where ever we go.
We also have guests who have booked thru AirBnB at our Ranch home in Northern California, and have really enjoyed meeting the travelers and vacationers.
