Mon logement est proche de Sacré Cœur, Butte Montmartre, Galeries Lafayette
Mon logement est parfait pour les couples, les voyageurs en solo et les compagnons à quatre pattes
I'm glad Romain made his room available, as I needed a place for my one night layover, and his is literally a 5 minute walk to Gare du Nord (transit to CDG). Upon arrival, it was a little tricky for me finding the key in a hidden spot, as Romain couldn't meet me, but I ended up figuring it out. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. A second person was staying in the other bedroom, but we ended up never crossing paths. The shower is hand held and doesn't have a holster. The one thing I had problems with was the wifi. The "free wifi" account written down never worked for me upon many tries throughout the night. I wanted to check into my flight amongst other web things, but couldn't. But, all things considered, Romain's room is a solid value for a short-term stay in Paris near Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est.
Romain gave very clear arrival directions, making everything go as smoothly as possible! Unfortunately didn't get to meet him, however he was very accommodating and helpful. The neighborhood is very lively at night, with tons of restaurants and bars around. (The bedroom window faces a main street so it can get loud at night with the window open, however the room has a fan so you should be comfortable with the window closed) Walking distance from Gare Du Nord train station so easily accessible from CDG. also walking distance to Montmartre and the Sacre Coure. The only downside was we could not get the WIFI to work - luckily we had cell phone service so it was not that big of a deal for us.
The apartment is 5min walking distance from Gare du Nord (one of Paris' main train/metro stations) thus very convenient for daily trips around Paris and on to CDG airport (about 30min). However, the neighborhood area is not the best at night due to its vicinity to the station; during the day the city wakes up to its chaotic routine. Once you have imputed the required access codes of the building, a foyer will greet you and a flight of stairs lead you to the second floor. Inside, the first room will be your private chamber. The room seems to be a basement/warehouse filled with other person's belonging's, canned goods and the iron set making it hard for you to find a place to unpack your luggage. There's no key for this door from the outside. Overall, the apartment is very well kept, even though the building is older, the interiors have been renovated and are kept clean and in good standing. There is only 1 bathroom, French style with the sink and tub separate from the toilet. There's no WiFi, so I would recommend you purchasing it at a French store the first day of your arrival, it will make your trip easier.
We had a nice stay at Romain's flat. The apartment is close to the central station Gare Du Nord and even if it may not be the best turistic spot in Paris, it's very convenient for getting around the city with pretty much any busses or trains. We were impressed about this. Monmartre is at walking distance from the flat, which is a nice bonus. We didn't meet Romain but we have been warmly received by his flat mate the day of the check in. For the rest of the time we had our privacy. Our room was a "real bedroom" in a "real" bed. It was clean and we had all the essentials needed. As the ad states there is no wi-fi but if you have your Internet bundle, like we did, it's absolutely recommended.
