The Shepherds Rest is an idyllic and peaceful conversion in the grounds of Stody Hall. The accommodation consists of a large open-planned living/dining area and kitchen fully equipped. There is a large bedroom with a 5' bed and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside there is a private fenced terrace with table and chairs. Stody Hall is situated close to the Georgian market town, Holt, not far from the stunning North Norfolk coast.
The Shepherds Rest is a quiet and idyllic luxurious conversion in the grounds of Stody Hall, a Georgian house set in the conservation Glaven Valley just 3 miles from Holt.
The accommodation consists of a large open plan living/dining area and newly refitted kitchen, fully equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, toaster and kettle.
There is a large bedroom with victorian 5' bedstead perfect for a romantic, relaxing weekend in Norfolk. Crisp, white cotton bedlinen and luxury soft towels are provided.
The owners have sourced antique furniture with quirky details, whilst not forgetting WIFI and a flat-screen TV; DVDs and local maps are provided so that you can enjoy the wonderful walks available right outside the door and further a field.
There is a fully enclosed terrace garden with table, chairs and umbrella. A Bar-b-que along with charcoal are provided on request.
There is off road parking.
The cottage really is a home from home. A breakfast hamper is provided with as much food as possible sourced locally including;
- eggs from the Stody Hall hens!
- bacon from the local butcher
- bread baked 2 miles away
- milk and yoghurt from the local dairy (if you are lucky you will see the cows grazing from the cottage window)
- homemade fruit compote or fruit salad
- ground coffee
- fair-trade tea
- fresh orange juice
- croissants and jam
We also provide loo rolls, washing up liquid and washing tablets to make your life easier!
